Pat Sellers campaigned for Patsy Ray.  Pat giggled when he said "I never thought she could win."

When Patsy Ray was elected to Coatesville City Council I think that Pat Sellers got the black city council of  his dreams. 

Why would someone who reads the American Renaissance (July 2000, scroll down to see 1st comment) help to elect Patsy Ray? Warning have a barf bag handy if you read the rest of the issue.

It would be a big mistake for the Republican Party to continue to court the “Teabaggers”.

I'm familiar with the extreme racist right wing from Chester County, Montgomery County, Berks and Lehigh County. It is the KKK and Skinheads that want the "Teabaggers" as their base.

Former Republican Congressman Dick Armey and the "Freedom Works" insurance lobby may have bussed the “Teabaggers” around the country in order to kill the health care bill but the Nazis, Skinheads, KKK and militia groups are using the “Teabaggers” as a pool to recruit from. They have been very successful.

March 19, 2010; 10:00 a.m.

Good morning ladies and gentleman. My name is Karl Marking and I’m the Vice President of Coatesville’s City Council. On behalf of the city, I’d like to extend our sincere thanks for taking the time to attend this ceremony.

I’d like to open my remarks by first acknowledging where we’ve come from before I focus on where we are and where we’re heading. I would like to acknowledge that Coatesville is far from perfect. The last few years have seen one of the worst times in Coatesville’s recent history. We are coming out of a period of distrust between the city and her government. We are, at long last, emerging from a time of terrible crime, an arson spree that garnered national attention, and one of the worst economy’s since the great depression. But the important thing today, is that we are here; we are on the other side - a little wiser than we were before, but no less hopeful.

We are coming together this morning - not to dwell on the often harsh or disappointing realities of human nature, but instead to focus on what can be achieved through hard-work, timing, a little vision, and a lot of perseverance.

I’d like to share a quote from President Obama’s Nobel lecture last December:

We do not have to think that human nature is perfect for us to still believe that the human condition can be perfected.
We do not have to live in an idealized world to still reach for those ideals that will make it a better place.
The non-violence practiced by men like Gandhi and King may not have been practical or possible in every circumstance, but the love that they preached — their fundamental faith in human progress — that must always be the North Star that guides us on our journey.
For if we lose that faith — if we dismiss it as silly or naïve; if we divorce it from the decisions that we make — then we lose what’s best about humanity. We lose our sense of possibility.

Grand words, perhaps, for such a small ceremony as this. But the reality is, for many people in the city of Coatesville, the city of Coatesville is the world. And regardless of how well travelled, well educated, or well intended any of us are, to thousands of people, Coatesville is home. And we have the honor and the responsibility to do all that we can to make it the best home possible for the over 10,000 people who continue to have faith in realizing a return on the investment of their hopes, their efforts, and their money. It is up to us - all of us - to do what is necessary to also make Coatesville a place that people can be proud to call home.

I see the river walk as more than a new project. It is more than a walking or cycling trail. It is a symbol; a promise soon to be fulfilled. It is another step toward finding Coatesville’s future and delivering on her potential for being more than she is, and perhaps - one day - more than she ever was.

I moved to Coatesville five years ago on this promise; the promise of a vibrant renovation of The Flats and of the downtown. Neither of which have been fully realized. And I am not alone. I know many people who took a similar chance on Coatesville. People with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to be a part of something not only new, but vibrant.

We have a lot of hard decisions to make and a lot of a hard work yet before us and we need to maintain that entrepreneurial spirit if we are to succeed. We have a main street that needs our attention. We have a school district working diligently to improve their reputation. We have a fully staffed police force. In short, we have the tools we need to build our city’s future. We also now have a group of people - from elected officials and city hall employees, to church leaders and every day citizens - who have been ready, willing and able to begin using these tools. We have vision. We have heart. We have faith in the fact that our city does not have to be idealized in order for us to realize our potential. It is up to us - all of us - to move Coatesville forward.
I am honored and pleased to be able to stand here today and be a part of this ground breaking ceremony; to be a part of the symbolism of what is on Coatesville’s horizon.

I asked Council President Simpson - who was unable to attend this morning’s festivities - if he’d like me to say a few words on his behalf. And ever the embodiment of brevity; he had just this to say: “Git R Done!”

Tea or Coffee?

You now have the choice of Tea or Coffee in grassroots political movements.

The mission statement of the Coffee Party states that; "…the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans."

I know some of the local Chester County Teabaggers. They include “White Nationalist” types. The Federal Government is something White Nationalists are up in arms against. Literally up in arms. I believe that some of those White Nationalist type Teabaggers helped to put the Kabash on Coatesville's Redevelopment.

A white nationalist Teabagger movement is sweeping across the nation.

We are in a recession that is called the worst “since the Great Depression”; a recession that could be worsening.

So many people are buying pistol ammunition that it is in short supply.

Joseph Stack, the anti-government anti-tax terrorist who flew his building into an IRS office is a new hero of the “Teabaggers”. Representative Steve King, Republican of Iowa, said this about Stack’s crime; “It’s sad the incident in Texas happened,” he said, “but by the same token, it’s an agency that is unnecessary.

Rick Perry the incumbent running for Governor of Texas suggested Texas secede from the United States. Debra Medina his opponent said, “The tree of freedom is occasionally watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots”, the same thing that was on Timothy McVeigh’s tee-shirt. Timothy McVeigh was a White Nationalist who thought his actions would inanimate an insurrection against the Federal Government.

And, we have a black President of the United States.

Take Dick Armey’s medical insurance lobby sponsored “FreedomWorks” out of the “Teabagger movement” and what you have left are people who want not just less government sponsored health care but no government at all. Take Dick Armey and his health insurance lobby out of the Teabaggers and what is left is; Militia Groups, Christian Identity, Patriot Movement, White Supremacists and White Nationalists.

Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin have become Fox News induced leaders of a revived domestic terrorist white nationalist movement that is sweeping across the nation.
Sarah Palin has less chance to be President than Barry Goldwater did but she is part of what seems to be a “Perfect Storm” for domestic terrorism.

When the Teabagger candidates and the Republican candidates who foolishly think they can ride the Teabagger movement lose their elections, the Teabaggers may be driven further toward violent revolution and terrorism.

Pat Sellers, the original "Teabagger"?

On Primary Election Day of 2005 in Coatesville’s Ward 4-2, Pat Sellers stood next to Kurt Schenk wearing a straw hat with tea bags hanging from the rim. Pat Sellers was Kurt Schenk’s campaign manager. Maybe Pat Sellers was the original "Teabagger".

Nancy Hannum and Pat Sellers sat together in animated conversation at a hearing in Chester County Court in 2005 where Bill Chertok was challenging Kurt Schenk’s Democratic write in votes for the May 2005 Primary. The Court decided in Bill Chertok’s favor and Schenk would not be running as a Republican and Democrat in the November 2005 Election.

The hearing contested Kurt Schenk’s Democratic voter “write in” votes (Schenk is a Republican). The Election Day vote was a “tie vote” between Kurt Schenk and Bill Chertok. But was some of the voting done after the Election? At the hearing we discovered that Voter Services was “Administratively Punching” voter’s ballots well after the election. They were punching ballots that may have been written in for a candidate but not punched.

The County Commissioners also serve as the Election Board. No members of the Election Board including Andy Dinniman, the longest serving Commissioner in the history of Chester County, had any idea that Voter Services was changing ballots to reflect what they considered a voter’s intention.

“Administrative Punching” of Ballots was discovered when the votes in Bill Chertok’s election were recounted in the courtroom. If not for Bill Chertok contesting the count we still would not have any knowledge of “administrative punching”

Concerning the “American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property” & Rachel Maddow

I was watching the “The Rachel Maddow Show” Thursday evening. She mentioned an organization that gave me a “flash from the past”.
Rachel Maddow said:

”The one bad experience that I had at CPAC was a guy Yelling at me and getting up in my face and being sort of physically threatening after making a bee line through a crowd directly at me to hand me this flyer. And I said, thank you, who are you? And he yelled right in my face; "we're normal people, what about you! It did not in fact seem like normal people, but more specifically he was from an organization called “Tradition Family and Property” whose booth I sought out later. They say it would be unclean to have gay people in the military and they have this neat-o Welsh looking crest."

The last extremist bomber we had in Chester County was David Wayne Hull:

The IRS is a traditional target of the Radical Right. So far Stack appears to be a "lone wolf", but the investigation has just begun.

There is nothing new about right wing extremists infiltrating the Chester County Republican Committee.

To my knowledge that’s been going on for about 2 decades. I believe that it’s one reason we got the disastrous “Bloc of Four” government in Coatesville. The ordinary news media is just becoming aware of what I believe is the “Christian Reconstructionists” moving into main line Republican political committees. I wonder if “Keystone United” (skinheads) and the Pagans are going to come in and help out the GOP in Chester County in this election.

More traditional “Eisenhower Country Club Republicans” are vaguely aware that “something” is wrong about many of the Republican candidates. That’s why the Republicans lose here whenever there is a large voter turnout.

What happened to the Republican Party here is a very sad thing.

The majority of Americans are not racist. Americans driven by fear vote most often.

Racism and fear has been the ENTIRE foundation of Republican political strategy since 1965. Xenophobia is a more recent close second.

Racists and Xenophobes are a minority as voters but they are frequent voters driven by fear that turn out in every election. Republicans call them their “Base”. The “Moderate Democrats” also base their voter appeal on fear of non-whites. The Reagan Democrats are racists; they just don’t like to be called racist, in public.



Pennsylvania went for Obama because of voter turnout. The racists voters were overwhelmed by ordinary people.

Like I said the racists ARE in the minority. But they are driven by a fear of non-white rule to turn out for every election.

The reaction of the most racist white supremacists in Pennsylvania and in Chester County where I live was predictable. The “Keystone Skinheads “understood the opportunity and changed their name to the more family friendly “Keystone United “to take advantage of the reaction to a Black President and attract people who might be turned off by the Skinhead name but not their beliefs. The entire White Supremacist movement has morphed into a bigger movement of anti-government activists and white supremacists now called “White Nationalists”. They bring in people who are uncomfortable at being racists (although they may be racists) but have the same goal of a white only or at least a white controlled nation and a fear that the USA is becoming an anti-American nation controlled by non-Christians and Jews and people of color.

A bible camp meeting of Christian Identity members at Estes Park, Colorado on October 1992 later took on historical importance. The bible camp theme was the “Ruby Ridge” ATF siege in Idaho in August of 1992. The keynote speaker was Larry Pratt of "Gun Owners of America" and the "Committee to Protect the Family". It became to be known as the birth of the new militia movement in the USA. But more importantly it brought together a blend of gun rights activitists, white supremacists and Christian activists. Nazis, Skinheads, “Christian” anti-abortion activists, anti-government activists, and gun rights supporters that came together to form the basis for a Christian Nationalist/gun owners movement. I believe that Christian & guns movement is at the core of the Teabaggers.

I believe a mix of out and out white supremacists, white nationalists, “Christian family” anti-abortionists, racists (who do not acknowledge their racism), anarchists, Libertarians, anti-government militia groups, outlaw motorcycle gangs,Republicans, Democrats, Independents and other parties and xenophobes make up the Teabaggers. They are not necessarily agreeable. The Republican Party and their corporate K Street lobbyists are desperately trying to get them under one tent; the Republican Party. Good luck with that.

There are a lot of moderate Republicans in Chester County, PA. But there will be no move towards the center for Republicans locally or Nationally. Their “base”, driven by fear of non-white rule, turns out reliably for every election. By catering to their base they will continue to win in the less popular local and state elections and continue to imbed Republicans in local and state governments and the court system. The GOP's problem is their “base” sometimes becomes rabid and bites.

In the video above Hari Kunzru is the only person who really “gets it”. Michele is the deep one and probably frightens the White Supremacists most.

White Supremacy - The theology based movement that believes in the satanic nature of Jews and the secondary status of people of color.

"Frankly, it wouldn’t hurt to make things a little miserable for him," Saha said.

"He made our lives miserable for the past six years."

You could also argue that the Sahas and their handlers made things pretty miserable for all the residents of Coatesville. And it may take a lot more than just 6 years to fix it. In my opinion some of the anti-Paul Janssen people have proven their hatred for the people of Coatesville.

It’s my belief that if making a largely black community look bad was the intention a small number of Right Wing Extremists that helped to put in the “Bloc of Four”; they did a good job.

It could be that some of those same extremists have their sights on Radnor Township (and Paul Janssen). Maybe Radnor Township's meeting hall will be hit with a gang of White Nationalist teabagger “Property Rights” wackos at their next Township meeting.

In my opinion the Bush Administration’s handling of the US Department of Justice was heavily grounded in politics and the Bush Cheney doctrine was “screw the Constitution”.

The first time I saw a hat with tea bags hanging from the brim was on Pat Seller’s head on election day in Coatesville for the “Bloc of Four”. He might have been a trend setter.

Pat Sellers has entered the 2010 the 6th District Congressional Race.

I wonder if Sellers will ask Larry Pratt to support him like Pratt did the last time Pat Sellers ran for Congress in 1996.

In order to understand how we got the “bloc of four” you need a little background.

There is a certain former Coatesville resident who is a well know political activist. He was pivotal in the election of the “bloc”. He was alleged to have threatened to “burn down” the Hutchinson Church in Coatesville.

I believe that this person and his followers wanted Coatesville, which is sometimes referred to as the black municipality of Chester County, to have the worst possible city council and black government. He can now use Coatesville as an example for recruitment.

"As I came out of the bank on a Saturday morning, they noticed my small flag pin which included the name 'Obama' beneath the flag. I was trapped at the intersection and threatened explicitly with being thrown into the street in the path of oncoming traffic. I was truly frightened! It's sad to say that a once proud Republican Party here in Chester County is morphing into a White Nationalist / Christian Reconstructionist extremist group.

This is not “just Chester County politics” this is a hate group. I think the violence has nowhere is its peak yet. At least some of the Pagan motorcycle gang members can't support the Sheepdogs for a little while.

In regard to the West Chester School Board election

All the tactics of the extreme right Christian Reconstructionists are well outlined by various groups that follow extremist activity. The ends justifies the means is a basic precept of Christian Reconstructionism. Lies are common in right wing political propaganda. Mid term elections where there is a low turnout is the primary way that Christian Reconstructionists infiltrate school boards, local government and Republican Committees.

This is excerpted from a Public Eye document:

“Christians must begin to organize politically within the present party structure, and they must begin to infiltrate the existing institutional order." Similar stealth tactics have epitomized the resurgence of the Christian Right, as groups like Citizens for Excellence in Education and the Christian Coalition have quietly backed candidates who generally avoided running as overtly "Christian" candidates. The Christian Coalition actually proposed something similar to Gary North's notion of "infiltration" when its 1992 "County Action Plan" for Pennsylvania advised that "You should never mention the name Christian Coalition in Republican circles." The goal, apparently, is to facilitate becoming "directly involved in the local Republican Central Committee so that you are an insider. This way," continues the manual, "you can get a copy of the local committee rules and a feel for who is in the current Republican Committee." The next step is to recruit conservative Christians to occupy vacant party posts or to run against moderates who "put the Republican Party ahead of principle."

“Central to the Christian Right's strategy is to exploit the national pattern of low voter participation by turning out their constituents in a strategically disciplined fashion and in greater proportion than the rest of the population. An important vehicle for achieving this goal is the ideology of Christian Reconstructionism or its stripped-down root, dominionism, which at once deepens the political motivation of their constituency and widens that constituency by systematically mobilizing a network of churches, many of which were politically uninvolved until the early 1990s.”

“Generally, Reconstructionism seeks to replace democracy with a theocratic elite that would govern by imposing their interpretation of "Biblical Law." Reconstructionism would eliminate not only democracy but many of its manifestations, such as labor unions, civil rights laws, and public schools. Women would be generally relegated to hearth and home. Insufficiently Christian men would be denied citizenship, perhaps executed. So severe is this theocracy that it would extend capital punishment beyond such crimes as kidnapping, rape, and murder to include, among other things, blasphemy, heresy, adultery, and homosexuality.”

The Public Eye document is historical and was published in 1994. Christian Reconstructionists have made great strides and now dominate the Republican Base.
