It would be a big mistake for the Republican Party to continue to court the “Teabaggers”.
I'm familiar with the extreme racist right wing from Chester County, Montgomery County, Berks and Lehigh County. It is the KKK and Skinheads that want the "Teabaggers" as their base.
Former Republican Congressman Dick Armey and the "Freedom Works" insurance lobby may have bussed the “Teabaggers” around the country in order to kill the health care bill but the Nazis, Skinheads, KKK and militia groups are using the “Teabaggers” as a pool to recruit from. They have been very successful.

Tea or Coffee?
You now have the choice of Tea or Coffee in grassroots political movements.
The mission statement of the Coffee Party states that; "…the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans."
I know some of the local Chester County Teabaggers. They include “White Nationalist” types. The Federal Government is something White Nationalists are up in arms against. Literally up in arms. I believe that some of those White Nationalist type Teabaggers helped to put the Kabash on Coatesville's Redevelopment.

A white nationalist Teabagger movement is sweeping across the nation.
We are in a recession that is called the worst “since the Great Depression”; a recession that could be worsening.
So many people are buying pistol ammunition that it is in short supply.
Joseph Stack, the anti-government anti-tax terrorist who flew his building into an IRS office is a new hero of the “Teabaggers”. Representative Steve King, Republican of Iowa, said this about Stack’s crime; “It’s sad the incident in Texas happened,” he said, “but by the same token, it’s an agency that is unnecessary.
Rick Perry the incumbent running for Governor of Texas suggested Texas secede from the United States. Debra Medina his opponent said, “The tree of freedom is occasionally watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots”, the same thing that was on Timothy McVeigh’s tee-shirt. Timothy McVeigh was a White Nationalist who thought his actions would inanimate an insurrection against the Federal Government.
And, we have a black President of the United States.
Take Dick Armey’s medical insurance lobby sponsored “FreedomWorks” out of the “Teabagger movement” and what you have left are people who want not just less government sponsored health care but no government at all. Take Dick Armey and his health insurance lobby out of the Teabaggers and what is left is; Militia Groups, Christian Identity, Patriot Movement, White Supremacists and White Nationalists.
Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin have become Fox News induced leaders of a revived domestic terrorist white nationalist movement that is sweeping across the nation.
Sarah Palin has less chance to be President than Barry Goldwater did but she is part of what seems to be a “Perfect Storm” for domestic terrorism.
When the Teabagger candidates and the Republican candidates who foolishly think they can ride the Teabagger movement lose their elections, the Teabaggers may be driven further toward violent revolution and terrorism.

Pat Sellers, the original "Teabagger"?
On Primary Election Day of 2005 in Coatesville’s Ward 4-2, Pat Sellers stood next to Kurt Schenk wearing a straw hat with tea bags hanging from the rim. Pat Sellers was Kurt Schenk’s campaign manager. Maybe Pat Sellers was the original "Teabagger".
Nancy Hannum and Pat Sellers sat together in animated conversation at a hearing in Chester County Court in 2005 where Bill Chertok was challenging Kurt Schenk’s Democratic write in votes for the May 2005 Primary. The Court decided in Bill Chertok’s favor and Schenk would not be running as a Republican and Democrat in the November 2005 Election.
The hearing contested Kurt Schenk’s Democratic voter “write in” votes (Schenk is a Republican). The Election Day vote was a “tie vote” between Kurt Schenk and Bill Chertok. But was some of the voting done after the Election? At the hearing we discovered that Voter Services was “Administratively Punching” voter’s ballots well after the election. They were punching ballots that may have been written in for a candidate but not punched.
The County Commissioners also serve as the Election Board. No members of the Election Board including Andy Dinniman, the longest serving Commissioner in the history of Chester County, had any idea that Voter Services was changing ballots to reflect what they considered a voter’s intention.
“Administrative Punching” of Ballots was discovered when the votes in Bill Chertok’s election were recounted in the courtroom. If not for Bill Chertok contesting the count we still would not have any knowledge of “administrative punching”

The ultra-conservative Supreme Court has finished the stone chiseled at by decades of “property rights” lawsuits and States Legislation.
Corporations as living people is the Holy Grail for Ultra-Conservative Republicans. They tried for years to make private property as virtual living people. Lawsuits such as; Kelo v. New London was one such “property rights” issue taken up by the ultra-conservative “Institute for Justice”.
Another "back door" approach to giving human rights to corporations is state legislation augmenting "property rights" over community rights.
The real reason for such “property rights” actions by ultra-conservative groups is make Corporations the same as living people under the law.

If you build new sewer systems, developers will come.
That’s the common wisdom and it’s usually correct. Because the economy might not come back for a few more years development might be deferred but it will come someday.
If you could carefully go from one farm or rural property to the next and talk to their owners you might find that many of them have some sort of arrangement like a “right of first refusal” with a developer. You might even find that some operating farm land is owned by a real estate speculator or developer. I think that will be the case anywhere within 10 miles of Rt. 30 between Coatesville and Lancaster.
The type of development in our farmland and fields has usually been single family homes. I’m not sure that there will be home buyers that need or want a single family home with 4 or more bedrooms. An average family of 2 adults and 2 children is long gone. The primary reason the turn from large families to small families is that it is now very likely that children will survive their parents. A majority of homeowners and renters in Chester County have no children and the baby boomers are looking to downsize.
Projected demographics for southeast Pennsylvania point towards more people looking for townhome or condominium design homes with minimal upkeep by the home owner. They will pay more for homes that have short access to public transit, shopping and entertainment.
The only wild cards in the demographic deck are new immigrants. They may want to buy single family homes designed for families with children or they become “Americanized” and decide a large family is not needed. Immigrants are significant. Pennsylvania has a mostly constant number of residents for several decades. Without immigrants Pennsylvania would have lost population numbers. Another possibility is that improved economies and opportunities may draw immigrants back to their native countries.
There is an alternative to building houses on farmland; that is utilizing existing municipalities. For instance, Coatesville already had the water and sewer capacity for 20,000 residents before Pennsylvania American rebuilt its sewer plant. Coatesville now has about 11.000 residents. Coatesville has an Amtrak Station and will have SEPTA train service with a planned extension of the R5 Line. That’s room for new homes for about 9,000 baby boomers and young professionals without children. The existing single family homes in the countryside that the baby boomers don’t need or want anymore could be purchased by those immigrant families looking for a home with room for a family. I only know about Coatesville but I believe that other established municipalities have room for condo and townhome development for baby boomers and young professionals.
Right now most of the undeveloped land in Chester County that is flat or cheap to develop has a "right of first refusal" or is already owned by a real estate developer or real estate speculator. If we do not utilize our existing municipalities for new development, the rolling countryside of Chester County will be only be seen in photographs in history books.
If you think our little communities and their part time attorney can stand up to the area wide, nationwide and international property owners (developers) and their squadron of attorneys and a deck of Commonwealth Laws stacked in the property owners (developers) favor; I got a bridge to sell you.

You gotta be kidding!
When I was reading the Daily Local article about the Coatesville City Council Elections one thing popped out at me; it was Eric Lacerte’s statement that Coatesville “has no plans for future growth”. I almost dropped the paper.
Coatesville is internationally recognized for its redevelopment plans. Our plans attracted the Knight School of Architecture of Miami University to select Coatesville as the municipality for the 2003 Knight Program in Community Building Design Charrette. Coatesville was selected in a nationwide competition. Chester County’s 2020 plan for preserving open space includes utilizing existing urban areas in lieu of paving farms and forests.
Coatesville is famous worldwide for its plans for future growth among city planning architects. It is also famous among those same architects for its plans being shot down by property rights extremists.
We have the infrastructure place in Coatesville for 20,000 residents. We have about 12,000 now. Housing is beginning to be driven by “baby boomers”. The youngest “baby boomers” are 62 years old. They are not looking for single family homes for 4 or more people. They are looking for townhomes and condominiums, access by foot to restaurants, train, shopping and entertainment. That is exactly what the previous Coatesville Administration planned for.
One million dollar and up family estate homes may be “white elephants” in about 10 years. About the only thing keeping a market for one million dollar + family homes are the entrepreneurs in Chester County’s immigrant population.
We need City Council members that at the very least read news articles about Coatesville.
I would recommend that the Coatesville City Council members take advantage of the many training programs for local government officials. Some members of the Coatesville Planning Commission have taken part in those training programs. Very few Coatesville City Council members have ever taken advantage of the training that is available and it shows.

By their support of the “tea party” people the health insurance industry has moved extremists to a central position in the Republican Party. I think the leaders of the “tea party” people are driven by a core philosophy that is based in White Nationalism.
I think the Republican leadership will not be able to control the “tea party” people; it only has a grasp on the tail.

The Holy Grail of conservatives is “corporate personhood.”
The “property rights” movement came close, but did not cement “corporate personhood” into US Law. The Robert‘s Court is poised to take a giant step for that "corporate personhood".
If corporations and their conservative workers on the Supreme Court and Congress have their way it will be the end of Government by the People and the beginning of Government by the Corporations.
Our Government by the People was so very hard to establish and a few conservative corporate toady's on the Supreme Court could take it away:

Is the Republican Party allowing itself to become a hate group?
I believe that Joe Wilson’s “Liar” outburst was designed to invigorate the anti-immigration anti-Hispanic racist extremists in the Republican Party. Wilson’s rant was astoundingly successful. With just one word he expressed hatred for a Black President and hatred of all Spanish speaking voters.
Black voters already know the Republicans are the new segregationists. The Republican Party is now also well established as the enemy of Spanish speaking voters.
Spanish speaking voters are a very big deal in winning elections. They may have been the key to Barack Obama’s win in Chester County. There may someday soon be a Spanish speaking majority in the USA; which, along with a Black-ish President of the United States is the primary reason for the explosion (pardon the pun) of the White Nationalists.
The language of some elected officials in the Republican Party is spoken among groups like “Keystone United”. “Keystone United” is the new family friendly name of the “Keystone Skinheads”. There is a Chester County Chapter of “Keystone United”.
The White Nationalists may exaggerate their numbers into millions but there are probably less than 100,000 of them. It’s not enough to win many municipal elections. That’s probably why some of them for instance, Timothy McVeigh decided to use violence. McVeigh thought that others would rise up and follow his example.
No leaders have come out of the Republican’s devastating defeat in the 2008 Election. Joe Wilson and other Republican Senators and Congressmen are speaking the language of the White Nationalists. They have stepped into the vacant spot at the top of the Republican Party.
When the Republican Party refers to extremists as their “base” they have given up representing not only all Spanish speaking voters and all Black voters, but all ordinary working Americans. I think the Republican Party is allowing itself to become a Skinhead/Nazi Party.
In order to influence legislation, the insurance industry lobby and the coal lobby is lending logistic support to extremist groups. They are playing a very dangerous game. I believe the insurance and coal lobbyists are financing and abetting extremist White Nationalists whose real goal is violent disintegration of the United States into White and non-White regions.
The Republican ship drifting rudderless and is sinking, no wait it’s not a ship anymore. The Republican canoe is sinking and people like Joe Wilson are punching holes in the bottom.

Pat Sellers was the one with lots of tea bags hanging on the brim of his hat.
You may remember Pat Sellers wearing a hat with lots of tea bags hanging all around the brim on the “Bloc of Four’s” Election Day.
Pat Sellers was the campaign director for the election of the “Bloc of Four”. That is the election of Patsy Ray, Robin Scott Johnson, Kareem Johnson and Kurt Schenk.

Some background on how Coatesville got the “bloc of four” Coatesville City Council:
During the 2005 election, a flyer was distributed in Coatesville called "The Coatesville Recorder." The flier was in my opinion jam packed with innuendoes, spins, lies, and of course, unsigned. There were 6 issues, 4 to 6 pages each in 4 color printing. The “Coatesville Recorder” was distributed to each residence in Coatesville; a minimum of 4,000 copies in each edition. I estimate the cost for printing to be upwards of $30,000 or $7500 per candidate. This was extremely expensive literature for an election where the usual expenditure per candidate is less than $400.00; but there was no “paid for by” at the bottom.
Do you want to know more about the alleged likely author of the Coatesville Recorder and campaign manager of the bloc of four; Pat Sellers?
