Florida City Paying $2,500 A Day To Radical Union-Busting Firm To Stop Workers From Organizing

All over the country, right-wing lawmakers are waging a war on Main Street America’s labor rights [1], purporting to do so out of a desire for fiscal restraint (while also backing budget-busting [2] tax breaks for the wealthiest among us).
Now, the city of Winter Park, Florida, is going to new lengths to stop nearly 150 city workers from joining a union. Apparently more concerned with stopping the union than saving money, Winter Park hired consultants at Kulture LLC, “a firm specializing in labor relations” at the rate of $2,500 a day to persuade workers to vote against organizing [3] this summer:

Letter: Commissioners hiding anti-union legal, consultant costs
"It's unfortunate that American voters are being fooled into thinking Barack Obama is anything but a bought-and-paid-for lackey for big union bosses like Andy Stern, John Sweeney and their cronies," says List. "Obama and his fellow Democrats' insistence on passing this dangerous legislation will put more American jobs in jeopardy of outsourcing and subcontracting, as capital flees America like never before, and it will put many smaller companies out of business."
