At the funeral of my Uncle Tony’s wife, her father, overwrought and angry with grief told me that my wife’s grandfather was the child that pushed Zack Walker back into the fire with a fence post. That in the 1930 he led the KKK in Coatesville PA.
Just before I married Betsy her grandfather invited me to his gun club to shoot clay birds. I didn’t know rumors about his KKK involvement. I was being interviewed. At some point Betsy’s grandfather nodded to his companions. I passed his test. Scary men. I became aware that there could be a shooting accident.
In the 1980s my family lived in Macungie PA. A KKK/Nazi group was meeting near Macungie PA in a barn. A barn that became isolated when a sinkhole took away normal access to the barn. That KKK leader was arrested later in Philadelphia PA.
We moved to Trappe/Collegeville PA. in the 1990s. A cross was lit on the yard of a Black family in a new subdivision in full view of students including my children & parents leaving a Perkiomen Valley School District Vikings home game.
We moved a little northeast of Trappe to Lower Frederick PA. I became a planning commissioner in Lower Frederick and found that KKK/violent Skinheads lit crosses in meetings along the Perkiomen Creek.

It's my understanding that the people who have cross lighting ceremonies along the Perkiomen Creek in Northwest Montgomery County PA are Racist Skinheads.
