Public Corruption in Chester County, PA

I believe an unlikely mix of alleged drug trafficking related politicos and alleged white nationalist related politicos united to elect the infamous “Bloc of Four” in the abysmal voter turnout election of 2005. During their four year term the drug business was good again and white nationalists used Coatesville as an example on white supremacist websites like “Stormfront”. Strong community organization and support from law enforcement, in particular Chester County District Attorney Joseph W. Carroll has begun to turn our community around. The Chester County drug trafficking that I believe centers on Coatesville continues and I believe we still have public officials in place that profit from the drug sales. But the people here are amazing and continue to work against the odds to make Coatesville a good place to live.

Be careful what you get good at

Whatever my job title was in several diverse occupations I was an artist/craftsman. I could write a little bit. I could dabble in science and technology on an as needed basis.
Maybe I had an aptitude for investigative work. At least a detective I came in contact with saw something in me many years ago.
When I came back to live in Coatesville, I thought I could be just semi-retired, go fishing and do a little drawing and photography. It didn’t work out that way.
I don't think I'll ever forget this scene from “True Detective”:
Starting at 1:06
  "Why'd you quit, Marty?
Yeah, you could have been boss, you know.
  LT, at least, captain.
I did another 4 years after you left, and I I guess the job just kind of ran its course with me.
   How is that?
I was gonna play baseball, ride bulls.
You know, you end up becoming something you never intended.
Uh, I guess you never really even know why.
I suppose I could have been a painter, you know, a historian.
Old scenes, new details.
   Yeah, yeah.
You do much painting?
   Nah.
Little late in the game to start something like that, I reckon.
Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing.
 If that long.
Yeah, so be careful what you get good at."
