Welcome to the Coatesville Dems Blog

Public Corruption in Chester County, PA

I believe an unlikely mix of alleged drug trafficking related politicos and alleged white nationalist related politicos united to elect the infamous “Bloc of Four” in the abysmal voter turnout election of 2005. During their four year term the drug business was good again and white nationalists used Coatesville as an example on white supremacist websites like “Stormfront”. Strong community organization and support from law enforcement, in particular Chester County District Attorney Joseph W. Carroll has begun to turn our community around. The Chester County drug trafficking that I believe centers on Coatesville continues and I believe we still have public officials in place that profit from the drug sales. But the people here are amazing and continue to work against the odds to make Coatesville a good place to live.

Guns and votes or voting with bullets.

“The FBI estimates that there are over 200 million privately-owned firearms in the US. If you add those owned by the military, law enforcement agencies and museums, there is probably about 1 gun per person in the country.”

As of November 2006, 67.6% of Americans were registeres to vote. Bluup!

We may be in the middle of what could turn out to be the Second Great Depression. We know how the first one turned out; can you say “Heil Hitler!” and “Pearl Harbor”, il duce and Joseph Stalin?
And back then nuclear bombs were a remote abstraction and no one even considered the consequences of global warming. It’s almost like a nothing more to lose Century.
The restrictive imaginary wall around our nation’s capitol referred to as the “Washington Beltway” sometimes makes our nation’s capital look like a kind of “Alice in Wonderland” to a nation of people looking into it from the other side.
Politicians who are supposed to hear the voice of the people are instead hearing the voices of a handful of narrow minded but extremely wealthy ideologues who are worried silly over abstract macroeconomic ideas like the national debt.
Americans under 65 are either out of work and without medical care; or worried about losing their jobs and losing medical care. Most people over 65 are living exclusively on Social Security and depend exclusively on Medicare for medical care.
And those same politicians that worship on the altar of conservative money and ideological abstractions are now considering taking away Social Security and Medicare leaving elderly Americans homeless and dying.
Please understand that it’s not Larry Pratt’s gun nuts standing with Glocks on their hips at Republican political rallies that I am writing about. That’s play acting. They back down when confronted. It’s the people who never were at a political rally or in a voting booth in their lives or registered voters who don’t show up to vote that this little blog post is about.
I believe that serving the public as an elected or appointed official is a high calling. But most American voters and people who never considered voting regard politicians and public servants as a type of criminal.
I am not advocating violence. We are on a trajectory that guarantees extreme unpredictable violence toward public officials, mostly US Senators and Congressmen.
Our population to gun ratio in the United States of America is one to one, one gun for every living person in the USA; one gun for every man, woman and infant child living in the USA.
People who don’t vote and never vote are completely overlooked by politicians, lobbyists and journalists. Their opinion is never considered, at all, by anyone. They don’t vote so they don’t matter.  But they do own guns.
Nearly every US family has a gun or many guns somewhere. If someone doesn’t have a gun, well it’s a lot easier to buy a gun and even to get a license for a concealed weapon than it is to register to vote in most states.
Only about one half of registered voters vote and most of them vote in only one election every four years.
Thirty five percent of eligible US citizens never bother to register to vote.
Most Americans ignore the activities of the politicians, they regard politicians as category of criminal.   But every US Citizen who is not a multi-Millionaire going on Billionaire cares very deeply about Social Security and Medicare.
If those politicians that most Americans view as a type of criminal decide to eliminate Social Security and Medicare either all at once or a little at a time in this the land of the heavily armed, it is not just their re-election that is at risk.
I know what having a target on my back feels like. But at least I knew which drug dealer or White Nationalist was holding the gun.
I believe the Senators and Congressmen that vote to eliminate or even cut back Medicare and or Social Security are putting their life and maybe their family’s lives at risk
It’s one man one vote. But here is more than that; it’s one man, or woman or child and a lot of guns and a lot of bullets. That’s what makes the USA different. Put enough societal stress on the USA and political assassin can come at any time unexpected from out of nowhere.
Active participants in United States Democracy and their views are very well known. They are known to polling companies, some are known to the FBI and intelligence officers. People who have never considered voting and are completely non-political are completely off everyone’s radar.
Taking away Social Security won’t develop hatred. Hatred is unfocused. It strikes out blindly and can be turned around. Taking away Social Security will invite revenge.
Revenge is specific and targeted. It lies under the surface but ever vigilant and waiting for importunity.  Somewhere there is a turning point, a crossroad where a critical-mass of Americans individually decide they have nothing more to lose. They never or seldom vote, they don’t believe voting has any effect. Revenge takes over. Guns and bullets are silently waiting for that moment.
I think that any Senator or Congressman, regardless of political affiliation who votes to eliminate or cut back Medicare and or Social Security will be forever looking over their shoulder.
I think any Congressman or Senator who votes down Medicare and or Social Security might need some new form of “witness security program” for them and their families to vanish into.
But they live "behind the looking glass" in Beltwayland and might come out of the rabbit hole after the shooting begins.
