Welcome to the Coatesville Dems Blog

Public Corruption in Chester County, PA

I believe an unlikely mix of alleged drug trafficking related politicos and alleged white nationalist related politicos united to elect the infamous “Bloc of Four” in the abysmal voter turnout election of 2005. During their four year term the drug business was good again and white nationalists used Coatesville as an example on white supremacist websites like “Stormfront”. Strong community organization and support from law enforcement, in particular Chester County District Attorney Joseph W. Carroll has begun to turn our community around. The Chester County drug trafficking that I believe centers on Coatesville continues and I believe we still have public officials in place that profit from the drug sales. But the people here are amazing and continue to work against the odds to make Coatesville a good place to live.

NAACP local Coatesville PA leader Elwood Dixon’s funeral service is today. I made a post about Elwood. I could have written about the good times.

I won’t be using my printer so much. Elwood Dixon passed on Monday an hour after I dropped off articles to read at his home.

I could have written much more.

There were several good times.

Like Kerry for President at Temple U where Elwood sat behind John Kerry when he spoke about veterans.

Benari Poulten managed the Kerry for President campaign headquarters in Coatesville. We put up a large flag behind Benari’s desk at the campaign headquarters. After I took a photo we realized the stars were on the wrong side. I flipped the photo for publication.

The Coatesville Veterans Hospital places veterans in homes in Coatesville. Many veterans go for a walk on the main street of Coatesville, Lincoln Highway. Some veterans can be a little disoriented.

There is a recent article in the Daily Local about a drug bust. Large-scale drug-dealing operation dismantled in Coatesville. I am extra careful driving by 6th to 8th Avenue in Coatesville. Some people on the street could be high. Some people have mental & physical challenges.

I took notice of how very carefully and respectfully Benari drove through Coatesville.

Benari is now a comedy writer and stand up comedian as “GI Jew.” He’s in the Army Reserve.

Benari set up a way to get Coatesville veterans on stage with John Kerry.

There was a train leaving from the Thorndale Station that would take Democrats to the Kerry event.

I missed the train and drove four veterans to the Chestnut Hill East SEPTA station and managed to get them there on time.

Bill Washington was crushed between two heavyweight veterans as I passed cars on the PA Turnpike.

Elwood & Bill Washington wouldn’t get in a car I was driving after that road trip.

I forgot to tell them about Secret Service scanners. Pocket knives were placed in potted plants outside the building.

One Coatesville veteran, can’t remember his name, had to pull up his trousers. He had metal plates in his legs.

I phoned WCOJ radio and got Elwood live on air from Temple U. At first Elwood didn’t realize he was on air.

There was a moment searching for pocket knives in the potted plants afterwards.
