Coatesville is on the cusp of economic & social revival. And the Chester County Democratic Committee supports local candidates stoked to trash that revival.
As I said many times before. There are two sides to Coatesville, PA’s local elections and it’s not Democratic and Republican, it’s anti-drug dealer or pro-drug dealer.
"After the police began leaving the Coatesville PD there was an almost immediate reaction by the local drug traffickers; gunshots were heard here almost every day. I received word that drug dealers from Philly moved into Coatesville. The word was 'business is good again in C’ville”.
It’s painfully apparent that if all three Democratic Candidates, Carmen Green, Deborah Thompson and Marie Lawson in this November’s election win, they will join with Republican Linda Lavender Norris and 1/2 of the Coatesville Police Department could resign, again. And again, the Bloods & Crips could see opportunities in Coatesville and the bullets would fly all day long, again.
The last time the drug business crushed Coatesville's economic and social revival they were financed by Chester County John Birch Society money. This time a blundering Chester County Democratic Committee could trash Coatesville's second chance at an economic and social revival.
There seems to have been a painful reluctance on the part of some Coatesville City Council members to recognizing the good work of Coatesville Police Chief John Laufer:

So Carmon told me she wants Ingrid Jones as vice president and she voted to keep her as vice president . The problem is Carmon voted against keeping Ingrid Jones as vice president and for putting Marie Lawson back in as vice president.
I like Carmen Green but:
WTF?
IT'S IN THE MINUTES:
"Mr. Hamrick made a motion to remove Ingrid W. Jones as Vice President; Mrs. Lavender-Norris seconded the motion. Motion passed 4-3. . President Hunt, Vice President Jones and Mr. Simpson were the dissenting votes."

OK, so Carmen Green told me she voted to keep Ingrid Jones as vice president of city council.
Remember when Chief Dominic Bellizzie left? It wasn’t long before "business was good again in Coatesville". The Crips, Bloods in MS-13 were here. You could hear an AK-47 and people were digging bullets out of their walls.
So now Chief Laufer is in danger of being fired. Tom Hogan might have something to say about this to Linda Lavender Norris and others.
I’m very happy with Chief Laufer but for those in Coatesville who want a black police chief:
During the City of Coatesville’s most recent search for a new police chief, City Councilperson Ingrid Jones brought up Joel F. Fitzgerald. Allegedly the rest of the council and the city manager rejected contacting Mr. Fitzgerald saying that he would not want to move from Texas. Ingrid said to contact Chief Fitzgerald that he might want to come back up here.
It looks like Ingrid Jones was right.

First off let me explain that, I don't think that Richard Legree was directly involved with drug trafficking, let's just say I think he "called some of the shots".
District Attorney Joe Carroll said that Lt. Matt Gordon is one of the most knowledgeable investigators of drug trafficking and the individuals involved in Chester County. I believe that when Walker and Matthews took him out of operation it was a cause for celebration among Chester County drug traffickers.
At the about same time Matthews proposed laying off at least 6 officers,
eliminating the Detective Division and Narcotics Division. After the police began leaving the Coatesville PD there was an almost immediate reaction by the local drug traffickers; gunshots were heard here almost every day. I received word that drug dealers from Philly moved into Coatesville. The word was “business is good again in C’ville”.
I believe that plans to eliminate Lieutenant Gordon were in operation well before Matthews started in Coatesville. I think that Richard Legree planned to step into the Coatesville PD as a Lieutenant and considering Gordon's importance in the prosecution of drug trafficking I think it was killing two birds with one stone. I think the plan was; after Legree was a police Lieutenant for some time Matthews would retire and Legree would be Chief of the Coatesville PD. I believe that a plan B was for Legree to run for Coatesville District Court.

Lieutenant Gordon and "Lieutenant Legree"
