Public Corruption in Chester County, PA

I believe an unlikely mix of alleged drug trafficking related politicos and alleged white nationalist related politicos united to elect the infamous “Bloc of Four” in the abysmal voter turnout election of 2005. During their four year term the drug business was good again and white nationalists used Coatesville as an example on white supremacist websites like “Stormfront”. Strong community organization and support from law enforcement, in particular Chester County District Attorney Joseph W. Carroll has begun to turn our community around. The Chester County drug trafficking that I believe centers on Coatesville continues and I believe we still have public officials in place that profit from the drug sales. But the people here are amazing and continue to work against the odds to make Coatesville a good place to live.

Want a job as "Assistant City Manager" in Coatesville?

I guess Kirby Hudson has all his time used up catering to "Villa" Hunt. The City of Coatesville is seeking an Assistant City Manager.

But how can the city afford him? "Villa" said the reason we couldn't hire State Police Maj. John Laufer III as Chief of Police is because we couldn't afford his salary. Well I think when the City Council votes to take money from the trust fund as it must to keep the City alive, the salary for an Assistant City Manager will be there.

Maybe the Assistant City Manager can begin to take some of the burden off of Kirby Hudson so that he can devote all of his time fulfilling all the wishes of "Villa".

I think that Coatesville City Council has to know that keeping Bell as Chief will result in a mass exodus of police officers.  Do Brazzle, Collins and "Villa" plan to balance the budget by dropping and not replacing police officers?

Do they realize that District Attorney Tom Hogan will not let the streets of Coatesville return to "An open air drug bazaar". Do Brazzle, Collins and "Villa" understand that State Troopers, police officers, Chester County Detectives and others will be sweeping through Coatesville in SWAT gear arresting anyone that appears to be a drug dealer.

It's good that Tom Hogan cares about Coatesville. I think "Villa", Brazzle and Collins have their own agenda that does not include the personal safety of Coatesville residents.

Choice: A real chief and adequate police force OR an invading army of police

Coatesville City Council could get worse:

It’s my understanding that “Villa” plans on running Patsy Ray in the Second Ward against Ingrid Jones, making a second “Bloc of Four”. It’s alleged that “Villa” said Patsy will do anything she is told to do. A few years ago Richard Legree allegedly said, “Patsy may be dumb and crazy but she takes orders”.

You can see by Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan’s actions that Coatesville will not be overrun by drug dealers again.

If the crony politics prevail and most of our police leave Tom Hogan and maybe Pennsylvania AG Linda L. Kelly will have no choice but to send in County Detectives, area police, Chester County Emergency Response Team and State Troopers in from time to time to make mass arrests.

They look like an invading army because in effect that’s what they are.

Was anyone surprised Monday night?

The  'acting' chief is now issuing orders as 'Chief' and he's ordering uniforms for himself. It looks like he's settling in. Did anyone really believe it wasn't a done deal?

It's oblivious that crapping all over the PD is good for the drug business. And it's obvious that a lot of people here want to keep the drug business hard and strong.

"Coatesville was ready to turn over and then these new guys came in." Tom Hogan from a phone conversation March 2006.

It was easy to see the connection of good profits in the drug business with the "Bloc of Four" and Walker/Legree.  Proving it in court was different. You would probably have needed wiretaps. And maybe the files Walker took home. The FBI had no search warrant for Walker's pad in Coatesville.

Basic things have not changed. Redeveloping Coatesville would still nearly kill the drug business here as it did in Phoenixville. The population of Coatesville could have grown up to 20,000 people. Seven thousand new people most of them without family in Coatesville. In many of Coatesville families, both Black and White families go back several generations.  My grandfather came here in 1910.  When where your grandchildren, your nieces and nephews live is well known, it's easy to threaten witnesses. In Coatesville a murder can happen in view of several people and "nobody saw it".

How many people are allegedly dipping into the drug money river that many Coatesville residents, public officials and civic leaders have, I believe, grown accustomed to.

I don't really think the current crop of council members is in office primarily to keep the redevelopment from happening so that the drug business keeps going. I think they are mostly supremely incompetent. But by screwing over the Coatesville PD they certainly are making the drug business more profitable. They are making Coatesville a dangerous place to live and a city that retail businesses and restaurants want to move out of.

Look for lots of "For Sale" signs in Coatesville. And maybe a store owner closing before a gun is pointed at her head again.

Does the “Villa Hunt Gang” have secret meetings?

-->
Are there “secret” meetings of three Coatesville City Council Members and acting City Manager Kirby Hudson and many local area players?

Are C. Arvilla Hunt, David C. Collins and Jarrell Brazzle having “secret” meetings beginning in March of 2012 at the Hunt Funeral Home, a bar on 1st Avenue and a home on W. Main Street in Valley Township?

Are they meetings to discuss their plans for the next Coatesville City Council Meeting?

Does Kirby Hudson attend some of those meetings?

Are Judge Grover Koon, Paul Johnson, Allen Smith and Kirby Hudson among the up to 20 people in attendance at some or all of the alleged meetings?

The Coatesville City Council Meetings have been packed at times. Are the same people at the alleged “secret” meetings there to see that what they planned takes place?

There are most likely no laws broken. In order to violate the Sunshine Law a quorum of officials needs to be present at a meeting. The Sunshine Law has no teeth anyway.

If these alleged meetings are taking place shouldn't everyone in Coatesville be invited? Maybe Villa Hunt, Jarrell Brazzle or David Collins will tell where the next alleged meeting is so that anyone can attend.

"Coatesville Citizen's Survey" Police Department

"The intent of this survey is to gather your perspective of the quality of service that the Police Department has provided. This survey is part of our efforts to improve communications between the Police Department and the Community."

You can find the survey here:

Coatesville Citizen's Survey

The police force under Dominick Bellizzie was about as community friendly as a police force can get. Chief Bellizzie listened to community leaders and put their ideas into action. I think a tradition or legacy from that time has stuck with the Coatesville PD.

In my own experience the only time Coatesville citizens have real problems with police being abusive or disrespecting law abiding citizens is when officers from outside of Coatesville are called in to assist Coatesville Police and the outside officers were allegedly disrespectful.

Our police officers have been rapidly, way to rapidly laid off to save money. We lost key officers and detectives. We need to keep a police force that is responsive to the citizens of our community. Hopefully our new chief will keep the tradition of serving the community the Coatesville PD now has.

Part time officers may not come to our city with the same respect for our citizens that was drummed into our legacy officers. Police not aware of the community they are policing do more harm than good.

I know that there is a tremendous effort by particular Coatesville PD officers to maintain the Community Policing in Coatesville.

Once police stop listening to and being respectful to citizens they become little more than an occupying army at war with the community. I don't think that can happen in Coatesville.

From Wharf Rats to Lords of the Docks Harry Bridges and the San Francisco Dockworkers Union

I watched the entire play or more properly a documentary video of the show on PBS on Sunday. The members of the audience were San Francisco dockworkers. I can't find it listed again. Maybe you will have better luck.
