Public Corruption in Chester County, PA

I believe an unlikely mix of alleged drug trafficking related politicos and alleged white nationalist related politicos united to elect the infamous “Bloc of Four” in the abysmal voter turnout election of 2005. During their four year term the drug business was good again and white nationalists used Coatesville as an example on white supremacist websites like “Stormfront”. Strong community organization and support from law enforcement, in particular Chester County District Attorney Joseph W. Carroll has begun to turn our community around. The Chester County drug trafficking that I believe centers on Coatesville continues and I believe we still have public officials in place that profit from the drug sales. But the people here are amazing and continue to work against the odds to make Coatesville a good place to live.

  1. Is there a moratorium on any crime in coatesville so people can't make a decision on living in coatesville. Police can publish the crime in the police edition in the DLN.

  2. I got a call that the manager of the Walgreens was shot in a robbery. So I walked down to have a look. There was an ambulance in the Walgreens parking lot. There was an armed robbery but no shots were fired. I was told the manager was very agitated. Just guessing but when people saw the ambulance they may have surmised that someone was shot.

As it turned out a bunch of people in the store recognized the robber and he was arrested quickly. The robber threatened people that knew he did the robbery but no one payed much attention to his threats.

Until about a year ago Downingtown and several other municipalities gave police reports to the media but I can’t remember any Coatesville PD reports.

Crime reports in Coatesville, usually shootings, came through the DA’s office. About a week after Chief Laufer started in the Coatesville PD we began to get regular police reports.

I think actual incidents have decreased. It’s just that you don’t need to dig out information by asking around the neighborhoods now.

Maybe most importantly the police reports make it much harder for Coatesville City Council to cut back on the Coatesville PD.
