Everyone is denying the elephant in the room; that Dick Cheney’s intention in beginning a torture protocol for interrogations was never to gain accurate information. I believe everyone even remotely connected with interrogation techniques and especially Dick Cheney, knows that tortured people say whatever the torturer wants them to say. None of the information gained by torture is reliable.
Cheney was a regular at CIA Headquarters; he really had no business directing the CIA and no business visiting CIA Headquarters.
I think the reason for the establishment of a torture policy was to get “confessions” that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. That coerced information was to be used as an excuse to invade Iraq and later pump oil on Halliburton pumps.
In the long run it didn’t matter much to Halliburton and it’s subsidiaries that there were no weapons of mass destruction. They and Cheney profited immensely by grossly overcharging and effectively looting our government and Iraq’s government.
I think Cheney is masquerading as a patriot. I believe he is just a war profiteer who could care less about what country he lives in, he serves Halliburton.

Where would we be if Winston Churchill said these words following VE and VJ day?

I believe that what the Bush Administration did to us in their 8 year reign was not all that different than what the Nazis and Japan's military did to Germany and Japan 70 years ago. How on earth can anyone think it can be ignored?

Sounds like a plan.
Very publicly make announcements that the Obama Administration is going to do nothing in regard to the Bush Administration's torture policy.
At the same time release documents that prove how very extensively torture was used and how extremely counter effective it was.
Do you think there will be a ground swell of honorable Americans demanding that the Bush Administration pay for what they did?
Sounds like a plan.
