Public Corruption in Chester County, PA

I believe an unlikely mix of alleged drug trafficking related politicos and alleged white nationalist related politicos united to elect the infamous “Bloc of Four” in the abysmal voter turnout election of 2005. During their four year term the drug business was good again and white nationalists used Coatesville as an example on white supremacist websites like “Stormfront”. Strong community organization and support from law enforcement, in particular Chester County District Attorney Joseph W. Carroll has begun to turn our community around. The Chester County drug trafficking that I believe centers on Coatesville continues and I believe we still have public officials in place that profit from the drug sales. But the people here are amazing and continue to work against the odds to make Coatesville a good place to live.

Mark Meadows was deeply involved in Trump’s efforts to stay in office including during J 6th. But he's not in Jack Smith’s indictment. Why didn’t he make the same deal in Georga? Karen Friedman Agnifilo might have the answer

Monday’s hearing could be a pivotal point in Trump’s criminal trials.

Mark Meadows was deeply involved in Trump’s efforts to stay in office even during the January 6th insurrection. Yet he doesn’t appear in Jack Smith’s indictment. It’s assumed that he flipped on Trump. Then why didn’t Meadows make the same deal with Fani Willis?

Karen Friedman Agnifilo may have discovered the answer. Meadows may have assumed the Supremacy Clause would keep Georgia from prosecuting him. So looks like he flipped on Trump but doesn’t want so say so until there’s a trial.

Ben Meiselas and Karen Friedman Agnifilo, co-anchors of Legal AF, report on Mark Meadows filing yet another filing about his Monday hearing claiming the Hatch act is a red herring.  He says he has absolute immunity from prosecution in state court and demands that his case go to federal court and be DISMISSED under the Supremacy Clause.

Harry Litman- Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was subpoenaed to testify against former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. Raffensperger will testify at a hearing on Monday about Meadows' plea to move his case to federal court.

“Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows acted far beyond the bounds of his federal duties when he involved himself in the 2020 elections in Georgia and other swing states, according to Fulton prosecutors.

In a new federal court filing on Wednesday, the district attorney’s office contended that Meadows violated the Hatch Act, which bars federal employees from engaging in political activity as part of their official roles.

“An evaluation of the actions named in the indictment makes clear that all of them were intended to ‘interfere with or affect’ the presidential election in Georgia and elsewhere in order to somehow transform Mr. Trump from an unsuccessful candidate into a successful one,” Fulton DA Fani Willis and one of her deputies, Donald Wakeford, wrote in the filing.

“The activities are precisely the type which other courts have already determined to be ‘unofficial’ and therefore beyond the color of the defendant’s office, and he can point to no presidential authority that would bring the activities within the scope of his official duties.”

The 22-page document came in response to Meadows’ push to move the criminal charges filed against him in Fulton County to federal court. U.S. District Court Judge Steve Jones is scheduled to hear the matter on Aug. 28. The DA’s office is pushing for Jones to remand the case to Fulton Superior Court."

Most reporters write about but can’t understand what is happening in Aileen Cannon’s Aileen in Trumpwonderland court. Ben Meiselas & Michael Popok are attorneys with decades of courtroom experience.

"Ben Meiselas and Michael Popok, co-anchors of Legal AF, analyze the breaking news surrounding the new disclosure that “employee number 4”, Trump’s Mar a Lago IT Director, having been forcibly separated from his Trump PAC paid for lawyer by a DC Federal Judge, finally told the truth, admitted he lied to an earlier grand jury, is fully cooperating with Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team against Trump, and has obtained a full immunity deal."

I appreciate what Ben Meiselas does. But he uses 100 words when 10 words is enough.

Scroll to Michael Popak to better understand what is happening in Jack Smith’s inspired and devastating prosecution of Trump & the Trump crime family.

There are 2 democracies under siege by organized crime. In Italy organized crime is the Sicilian Mafia and the Campania Camorra. In the USA organized crime is the Republican Party.

“Michael Popok of Legal AF reports on the Fulton county sheriff department and judges opening and investigation along with the FBI to bring to justice the Trump followers who have doxxed and viciously attacked the 23 grand jurors who voted to indict Trump, as Trump stands by silently and does nothing.”

“Criminal defendant Donald Trump was warned by a federal judge against making “inflammatory statements” but he continues to attack prosecutors and judges. The New York Times reports that "some lawyers have said that if Trump were an ordinary citizen issuing these attacks, he would be in jail by now.” Nicolle Wallace is joined by former FBI veteran Frank Figliuzzi, former Department of Homeland Security Chief of Staff Miles Taylor and Democratic Strategist Basil Smikle who talk about Trump and allies being an alleged “criminal enterprise.”

The Trump Republican Party uses decentralized actors for intimidation & murder. Trump makes a veiled threat and his followers act on it. Much like the Camorra of the Campania region of Italy uses seemingly unconnected youth to do its intimidation and murder.

According to Roberto Saviano, author of "Gomorrah: Italy's Other Mafia," the Camorra has historically been more decentralized than the Sicilian Mafia, with individual clans operating autonomously. This decentralization has allowed the Camorra to adapt to changing circumstances and maintain its power and influence over the years.

Mafia in Naples is still going strong – and we must not forget how it affects everyday life in the city

In 2007 I read, “GOMORRAH A PERSONAL JOURNEY INTO THE VIOLENT INTERNATIONAL EMPIRE OF THE NAPLES’ ORGANIZED CRIME SYSTEM.

There is a new addition.

"The Structure of the Camorra

The Camorra's organizational structure is complex and fluid, with individual clans operating independently while maintaining ties to other clans. Each clan is headed by a "boss," who is responsible for making key decisions and allocating resources. The boss is surrounded by a network of subordinates who carry out the boss's orders and help to maintain control over their territory. Women have also played a significant role in the Camorra, often acting as intermediaries between different clans or performing administrative tasks.

The Camorra and Politics

The Camorra's influence extends to Italian politics at all levels, from local to national. According to Behan, the Camorra has historically engaged in vote-buying, intimidation, and other forms of corruption to secure political power and influence decision-making. The Camorra's involvement in politics has also extended to the judiciary, with judges and prosecutors being targeted for assassination or intimidation. The "Clean Hands" investigation in the 1990s was a significant turning point in the fight against political corruption, resulting in the arrest of hundreds of politicians and businesspeople.

"Hospital of the mafia?

According to claims from the Local Antimafia Directorate (DDA), one alleged arm of the Contini clan and one member in particular, who “worked” as a hospital porter, was apparently able to exert influence and interfere in decisions and projects across the hospital. It is suggested that his reputation, and the alleged presence of other clan members working in various roles, allowed the Camorra in effect to take over the running of a medical institution.

The clan allegedly used the hospital as its social headquarters - a safe haven - and a meeting place for Camorra summits, and as a location for the exchange of extortion money and loan repayments. It is even said to have controlled the system of medical visits and operations, gaining favours from doctors (including signing false medical certificates and looking after injured clan members) and special access to medical treatment bypassing the normal bureaucratic channels and waiting lists.

Moreover, according to the DDA, the private company that managed the ambulances was allegedly close to the clan, apparently enabling it to manage comings and goings to the hospital as well as make a healthy profit. For example, the clan allegedly exploited the desire for people to have their deceased loved ones taken home, charging €400-500 per journey cash in hand.

It was also said to be able to influence decisions involving the distribution of public contracts for hospital services, in particular, prosecutors allege, the cleaning contract which their company won with its members as employees, or the hospital canteen being run by a Camorra company.

If proved in court, these allegations represent the true colonisation of a public space by a traditional mafia – a shocking example of how the Camorra continues to infiltrate all aspects of life in the city."

In 2019 redistricting allowed the Pennsylvania 6th District to represent Chester County. A Democrat could be elected to the PA 6th District:

For me bribes & judges always went together. My introduction to politics as a 6 year old boy included Sante & the Chester County PA Republican Judges that bought his whiskey during Prohibition. Clarence & Ginny bribes? just SOP.

Sante Piscoglio once lived in a 1920s style stone home overlooking Coatesville at the top of 13th Avenue. During Prohibition Sante ran Scotch Whisky from Canada to Chester County’s Republican Common Pleas judges.

As a small boy I looked forward to visiting Sante and Concetta Giunta Piscoglio at Christmas. There was a large Lionel Train layout in the basement. I could tell from looking at my Mom & Dad that Sante was an important man.

Sante Piscoglio the elder came to Coatesville from Sicily. He had a business selling high quality Scotch whisky to the wealthy of Chester County PA including Republican Party Commonwealth Judges.

Sante is part of how I came to know Democrats as steelworkers and Republicans as doctors or gangsters.

In the 1930s when Sante Piscoglio plied his trade in whiskey imported from Scotland fascism was spreading in Italy & Germany in Europe.

Now in 2023 fascism is spreading in Europe and in the Republican Party including Republicans U.S. Supreme Court justices.

For me Republican Supreme Court judges taking bribes is just standard operating procedure of Republican judges inclined towards fascism.

"During his three decades on the Supreme Court, Clarence Thomas has enjoyed steady access to a lifestyle most Americans can only imagine. A cadre of industry titans and ultrawealthy executives have treated him to far-flung vacations aboard their yachts, ushered him into the premium suites at sporting events and sent their private jets to fetch him — including, on more than one occasion, an entire 737. It’s a stream of luxury that is both more extensive and from a wider circle than has been previously understood.

Like clockwork, Thomas’ leisure activities have been underwritten by benefactors who share the ideology that drives his jurisprudence. Their gifts include:

At least 38 destination vacations, including a previously unreported voyage on a yacht around the Bahamas; 26 private jet flights, plus an additional eight by helicopter; a dozen VIP passes to professional and college sporting events, typically perched in the skybox; two stays at luxury resorts in Florida and Jamaica; and one standing invitation to an uber-exclusive golf club overlooking the Atlantic coast.

This accounting of Thomas’ travel, revealed for the first time here from an array of previously unavailable information, is the fullest to date of the generosity that has regularly afforded Thomas a lifestyle far beyond what his income could provide. And it is almost certainly an undercount.

While some of the hospitality, such as stays in personal homes, may not have required disclosure, Thomas appears to have violated the law by failing to disclose flights, yacht cruises and expensive sports tickets, according to ethics experts.

Perhaps even more significant, the pattern exposes consistent violations of judicial norms, experts, including seven current and former federal judges appointed by both parties, told ProPublica. “In my career I don’t remember ever seeing this degree of largesse given to anybody,” said Jeremy Fogel, a former federal judge who served for years on the judicial committee that reviews judges’ financial disclosures. “I think it’s unprecedented.”

This year, ProPublica revealed Texas real estate billionaire Harlan Crow’s generosity toward Thomas, including vacations, private jet flights, gifts, the purchase of his mother’s house in Georgia and tuition payments. In an April statement, the justice defended his relationship with Crow. The Crows “are among our dearest friends,” Thomas said. “As friends do, we have joined them on a number of family trips.”

The New York Times recently surfaced VIP treatment from wealthy businessmen he met through the Horatio Alger Association, an exclusive nonprofit. Among them were David Sokol, a former top executive at Berkshire Hathaway, and H. Wayne Huizenga, a billionaire who turned Blockbuster and Waste Management into national goliaths. (The Times noted Thomas gives access to the Supreme Court building for Horatio Alger events; ProPublica confirmed that the access has cost $1,500 or more in donations per person.)

Records and interviews show Thomas had another benefactor, oil baron Paul “Tony” Novelly, whose gifts to the justice have not previously been reported. ProPublica’s totals in this article include trips from Crow.

Each of these men — Novelly, Huizenga, Sokol and Crow — appears to have first met Thomas after he ascended to the Supreme Court. With the exception of Crow, their names are nowhere in Thomas’ financial disclosures, where justices are required by law to publicly report most gifts."

The fullest accounting yet shows how Thomas has secretly reaped the benefits from a network of wealthy and well-connected patrons that is far more extensive than previously understood.
