Jonathan Chait compared Hillary to W. Bush-Hillary’s friends need to be quiet. They’re not helping.

Since Hillary Clinton lost to Barack Obama the foundation of Hillary Clinton's campaign strategy assumed her opponent would be Jeb Bush. A political outsider especially a con-man like Trump wasn't a possibility.

Jonathan Chait is arguing that Hillary Clinton’s corruption is nil compared to the George W. Bush regime. That's abundantly true but Clinton isn't running against Jeb Bush. Mr. Chait seems stuck in Clinton's 2015 campaign strategy.

Clinton is not running against Jeb Bush. Trump stomped Jeb! in the primaries,

The Bush family might be more corrupt than the Clintons but the Bush family members are voting for Hillary Clinton.

Notice that Mr. Chait wrote about the public corruption of the G.W. Bush Administration. Mr. Chait can't write about Trump's public corruption. Trump doesn't have a record of public corruption. He has never held any public office, not yet.

Mr. Chait made an argument in favor of electing Donald Trump.

As November 8 nears Trump seems more likely to win. After Trump is president Mr. Chait can write about Trump's public corruption.

Clinton's friends need to be quiet, so she has a chance to win.
