Coatesville
residents pay an exorbitant fee for water & sewer because Pennsylvania
American designed the sewer treatment system for 20 times what the City of
Coatesville needed.
In 2006 Pennsylvania American and most real estate speculators expected at least 80 new subdivision construction projects
needing water & sewer north and west of Coatesville.
Before he left Coatesville, City
Manager Jean Krack told me that there were filings for 80 new subdivisions in
the watershed of the West Branch Brandywine Creek north of Coatesville.
In 2006 Real
estate investors of all kinds expected the City of Coatesville to be the
economic center of a new housing boom in western Chester County. All of it came
crashing down with the Housing Market Crash of 2007.
Most people believe
another crash is coming. Because no one in the Trump Administration is
qualified for their job that crash will probably be much worse than 2007.
How the
crash effects the City of Coatesville is dependent on when it comes. If it
comes soon, we could get partly done unoccupied new structures.
