Morning in America for Nazis & going back to Kings & Queens

Two Op-Eds in today’s New York Times caught my eye:

“For racists in this country, this campaign has been a complete affirmation of their fears, worries, dreams and hopes,” said Ryan Lenz, the editor of the Hatewatch blog at the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks such groups from its headquarters in Montgomery, Ala. “Most things they believe have been legitimized, or have been given the stamp of approval, by mainstream American politics to the point now where it’s no longer shameful to be a racist.”
"Many of these groups say they have seen a significant surge in interest in the last year. Jared Taylor,* a prominent white nationalist, said traffic to his website, American Renaissance, was up 30 percent since the beginning of the Trump campaign."

Pat Sellers wrote to Jared Taylor.

I’m not looking forward to Pat Sellers on “Morning Joe” arguing the Nazi side.

I remember listening to Pat Sellers at a Coatesville City Council meeting beginning to argue the merits of Adolf Hitler and cutting himself short before he said something controversial. Now watching him arguing for the Nazi side on “Morning Joe” is entirely plausible.

The other New York Times Op-Ed:

"That their head of state should be elected by the people is, I imagine, the innate view of almost all American citizens. But at this unquiet hour, they might well wonder whether — for all the wisdom of the founding fathers — their republican system of government is actually leading them toward that promised “more perfect union.”
After all, our American cousins have only to direct their gaze toward their northern neighbor to find, in contented Canada, a nation that has for its head of state a hereditary monarch. That example alone demonstrates that democracy is perfectly compatible with constitutional monarchy."

Our Chester County Aristocracy has been “Considering a Monarchy” for a while now. John E. du Pont isn’t the only inbred nutcase among the Chester County Aristocracy:

Concerning the “American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property” & Rachel Maddow

I was watching the “The Rachel Maddow Show” Thursday evening. She mentioned an organization that gave me a “flash from the past”.
Rachel Maddow said:

”The one bad experience that I had at CPAC was a guy Yelling at me and getting up in my face and being sort of physically threatening after making a bee line through a crowd directly at me to hand me this flyer. And I said, thank you, who are you? And he yelled right in my face; "we're normal people, what about you! It did not in fact seem like normal people, but more specifically he was from an organization called “Tradition Family and Property” whose booth I sought out later. They say it would be unclean to have gay people in the military and they have this neat-o Welsh looking crest."

“Tradition Family and Property” has a Chester County link of sorts:

It is about the fox hunting exploits of Nancy Hannum. Ms. Hannum was a proud supporter of the Saha “Save our Farm” campaign
