AR-15 variants are virtual twins to military weapons. In use
they are identical to military weapons.
And nobody seems to be mentioning. 50 cal. sniper rifles sold in
gun shops that are identical to military weapons and that can kill humans at 2
miles away or penetrate armored vehicles at closer ranges.

No gun effective control bill of any sort has a chance of passing. Linking
the Orlando massacre and assault weapons is just political ploy in an election
year.
But it did bring some daylight to the secret "terrorist
watchlist".
I've been calling domestic terrorists, terrorists for several
years. Those called domestic terrorists by the SPLC and ADL and me have been
growing exponentially in the last 7 years. Like the Bundy Terrorists that
almost caused a bloodbath in Nevada that the DOJ dawdled over until recently.

Domestic terrorists
regardless of religious affiliation are the biggest threat to Americans.
I think we are only one successful assassination away from a
crackdown on domestic terrorists. Since we have thousands of them, the most likely successful assassin is a
right wing terrorist.

Jim Acosta
If or when that assassination of a high level government official happens
it could give instant birth to a national security enforcement organization
that makes the East German Stasi look like pussies.
And since the extreme right wing has been loading up on assault
rifles and ammo planning an Armageddon style response, extreme violence and
bloodshed could go with any crackdown on domestic terrorists.
Bringing US Extremism To Network TV – “Sovereign Soul” Producer Jeff Stanzler w/ Cenk Uygur
Jeff Stanzler, "The way I look at it. I think Obama is going to come with an executive order on background checks before the end of his term. And the day that that happens the nature of this country, the heartbeat of this country I think is going to switch very, very quickly.
Cenk Uygur, "So that's interesting. So what do you think is going to happen?
Jeff Stanzler, "Well, I think the people who believe in Agenda 21 will feel that this is the shot across the bow. Agenda 21 that UN resolution, non-binding, that I think started in George HW Bush's, decades ago. But as we know Ted Cruz is campaigning on fighting against Agenda 21, which basically says jackbooted UN thugs are going to come take away your guns.
Now if Obama says that he's going to make this executive order I feel like the people who are maybe a little bit on the fence, might be pulled into that sort of Alec Jones world of, this is it folks. You gotta circle the wagons and get ready... I'll be glad if I'm in an area that has very little guns on the day that that happens. "
Cent Uygur, "Now you frightened me."
Watch the whole thing or start at 12:00:
Linking the "terrorist watchlist" to assault weapons had no effect on limiting the sale of assault weapons but it did sell a lot of them and drive up gun manufacturers stock prices.
But most importantly it firmed up the belief of right wing extremists that the federal government is coming for their guns.
I don't know how we can remove the guns from Americans without a massive violent reaction. But somehow it has to be done.

But be careful what you wish for. We could go from gun violence to police state.
