Land Use "Patriots" of Chester and Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania

I had to learn this stuff in the Southern Poverty Law Center “Timeline: Land Use and the 'Patriots'” begining in the late 1980s before I knew how to use a computer. I used libraries and microfilm.

"Timeline; Land Use and the 'Patriots'" is a look back. It's clear. It’s logical.

As it was happening in the communities I lived in. especially in the pre-internet days, it was chaotic, threatening and sometimes nonsensical and difficult to understand. But we needed to understand how to deal with the people who opposed the Perkiomen Trail in Montgomery County PA.

By the time I came back to Coatesville I was educated. I understood perfectly what was happening with the whole Saha “Save Our Farm” thing:

The language, the lawsuits, the threats that the Sahas and their mentor White Nationalist John Birch Society 30 year member & JBS Chapter Leader Pat Sellers used will show up in the “TIMELINE: LAND USE AND THE ‘PATRIOTS’”

If you really want to understand why the Perkiomen Trail took 11 years to get started.

Why the City of Coatesville’s plans for revitalization were quashed.

And why the drug business that brought so much violence to Coatesville and that was begining to be under control was made good again by the election of the Coatesville City Council members called the “Bloc of Four”:

Read this first for background:

“The so-called “Patriot” or militia movement, which hit the United States in two waves cresting in the 1994-2000 period and again beginning in 2009, is animated by conspiracy theories about the federal government and its alleged intentions to merge the country into a global government ruled by dictatorial, socialistic elites.”
