At tonight's Coatesville City Council meeting, Coatesville City Manager Kerby Hudson held up this campaign poster and suggested voting for Harry Lewis because he's one of us:
I believe that was a violation of the Hatch Act:
"State and Local Employees are prohibited from*:
1. Using their official authority or influence for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the result of an election or a nomination for office.
2. Coercing, attempting to coerce, commanding, or advising a State or local officer or employee to pay, lend, or contribute anything of value to a party, committee, organization, agency, or person for political purposes."
This is a sad day in America when candidates pretending to be one of the citizens of whom they are trying to hood wink use the county's madame from another town to solicit thier approval, not to mention signed , sealed and delivered by the city manager. Sad day in the Country even sadder in the city of Coatesville when neither of these so called leaders came to the other of us rescue wiith the CASD meetings. Shame on you Francis and Harry shame on you.
