State Rep. Tim Hennessey's Office Manager Lisa Johnson and her boyfriend former Coatesville Codes Officer John Tinson

This is the way Democrats do it:
“Zachary Coile, a spokesman for the incumbent lawmaker, told California-based station KSBW that Stanley has already ‘submitted his resignation,’ which was accepted by the Senator "because his actions yesterday were wrong and unacceptable."

This is the way our local Republicans do it:
“Hennessey said Friday that the caucus suspended Johnson without pay, pending resolution of charges."

"We're trying to hold down the fort without her, but we'd welcome her back," said Hennessey.”

That’s true, suspended without pay, but with full benefits

Again, an aide to Barbra Boxer was fired on the spot when he was caught with some marijuana in his pocket "because his actions yesterday were wrong and unacceptable."
That’s the way a Democrat from California handles employees with drugs.
Here in Coatesville PA is goes much differently.
Lisa Johnson Republican State Representative Tim Hennessey's Office Manager was employed at his Coatesville Office for 17 years. Ms. Johnson plead guilty to a cocaine charge and is on leave without pay WITH FULL BENEFITS.

Docket Commonwealth of Pennsylvania v. Lisa A Johnson

Coatesville Codes Officer John Tinson was allegedly PAID HIS FULL SALARY AND BENEFITS up until August of 2010; his benefits were allegedly cut off in September of 2010. Tinson’s pay was allegedly continued because former Coatesville City Manager Harry Walker allegedly told City staff that Tinson’s union contract required the City to continue paying his full salary and benefits. When the Coatesville City Council allegedly discovered that Tinson was still being paid, the City Administration checked. The City Administration allegedly found  that they were not required to pay Tinson’s salary or benefits. So from the time he was arrested in November of 2009 until August of 2010 Tinson was allegedly on “Leave With Full Pay and Benefits”. John Tinson is now doing 5 to 10 years in State Prison.
I think there are people here in the Coatesville area who tolerate the drug business and welcome the money it brings into the community. And I think there are politicians and public officials who understand that those individuals can be a reliable set of voters that can be turned out as a voting bloc and can be a critical part of local elections.
