All the conditions of armed rebellion that happened during the Great Depression are now in place. Mass deaths from the COVID-19 and 2020 small arms firepower are added to this Great Depression

Vic Dibitetto is a highly rated stand up comedian. I can’t do what he does.

This is one of my coronavirus videos:

The Great Depression now begining is different than the Great Depression of the 1930s. People will be out of work, starving AND dying in a pandemic.

"Authorities ordered out the National Guard elsewhere in the second week of the strike. Governor Green sent the Guard to Saylesville, Rhode Island after several thousand strikers and sympathizers trapped several hundred strikebreakers in a factory. Governor Green declared martial law in the area on September 11, after picketers armed with rocks, flowerpots and broken headstones from a nearby cemetery battled troops armed with machine guns, in a 36-hour incident that resembled a civic insurrection. Casualty figures vary. A granite marker erected at one of the battle sites names four workers who died in the Saylesville conflict.[6]" - WIKIPEDIA MORE BELOW

Americans are now armed with small arm firepower that did not exist in the days of the Great Depression.

"Some of the biggest protests that took place in Michigan were organized by the Michigan Conservative Coalition, which is run by a former Republican lawmaker and his wife, Meshawn Maddock, a member of Trump's campaign advisory board and the "Women for Trump" coalition.
The protests have been promoted by the Michigan Freedom Fund, which is run by Greg McNeilly. The operative is a longtime adviser to the family of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos who ran her husband's failed gubernatorial run in 2006.

"The authorities respond

The mill owners were initially taken by surprise by the scope of the strike. They immediately took the position that these flying squadrons were, in fact, coercing their employees to go out on strike.

Governor Blackwood of South Carolina took up this theme, announcing that he would deputize the state's "mayors, sheriffs, peace officers and every good citizen" to maintain order, then called out the National Guard with orders to shoot to kill any picketers who tried to enter the mills. Governor Ehringhaus of North Carolina followed suit on September 5.

Millowners persuaded local authorities throughout the Piedmont to augment their forces by swearing in special deputies, often their own employees or local residents opposed to the strike; in other cases they simply hired private guards to police the areas around the plant. Violence between guards and picketers broke out almost immediately. The major known incidents include:

in Trion, Georgia, a picketer and mill guard died in a shootout on September 2
guards killed two picketers in Augusta, Georgia on September 2
six picketers were shot to death, one died later in the hospital, and more than twenty other picketers wounded, most shot in the back as they were fleeing the picketline, in Honea Path, South Carolina on September 6
Authorities ordered out the National Guard elsewhere in the second week of the strike. A granite marker erected at one of the battle sites names four workers who died in the Saylesville conflict.[6]

Another picketer was shot to death the following day, about five miles away in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, when guardsmen fired into the crowd attempting to storm the Woonsocket Rayon Plant. Governor Green then asked the federal government to send federal troops; the Roosevelt administration ignored the request.

Maine deployed the Guard in a more tactical manner, sending them to Augusta and Lewiston to discourage wavering employees from joining the strike.[citation needed] That tactic did not work, however, everywhere: workers at Pepperell Mills' plant in Biddeford and York Manufacturing's plant in Saco went out even though the guard was sent to prevent the arrival of flying squadrons rumored to be coming from New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Governor Wilbur L. Cross of Connecticut also mobilized the Guard, but did not declare martial law. Instead the state labor commissioner met with picketers during the second week of the strike and brought about a reduction in tensions by urging strikers to respect the law and not hurl epithets at strikebreakers.

Things were different in Georgia, where Governor Eugene Talmadge declared martial law in the third week of the strike and directed the National Guard to arrest all picketers throughout the state, holding them in a former World War I prisoner of war camp for trial by a military tribunal. While the state only interned a hundred or so picketers, the show of force effectively ended picketing throughout most of the state."

"She's got political connections, nothing we can do."- Coatesville PD

A little more of why I'm not happy about Linda Lavender Norris on Coatesville City Council:

Recently many of my neighbors complained about drugs being sold at the corner of 13th. Avenue and Stirling St.

When people complain about the people from the illegal boarding house at 13th. and Stirling Coatesville Police they tell us there's nothing they can do:

 "She's got political connections."

People who have been inside the house say that there is barely room to walk around inside. Items like furniture and toys salvaged from trash are allegedly piled to the ceiling.

I think its kindling waiting for ignition. Again:

Attic fire, pile of cigarette butts, no windows or doors to outside, sounds like a fire code violation, right?

There was a fire in a completely enclosed attic apparently caused by someone smoking in the attic.

We saw a burned mattress taken out of the attic from a ventilation hole cut by firefighters along with a dresser and some other furniture. The bedroom furniture sat on the front lawn for weeks.

It’s a single family home that was rented to multiple individuals against the Coatesville Codes Ordnance.

From looking at the Modena Fire Company’s photo of what looks like a pile of hundreds of cigarette butts in the attic, it appears the alleged renter smoked in his attic “bedroom”. “Possible entrapment” was reported.

You would think that there would be some sort of codes or fire violation issued after the fire.

I asked if the Modena Fire Company issued a fire code violation. Chief Dowlin said that the fire was in Coatesville and the Coatesville Company would do that.

But back then Patsy Ray (AKA-Patricia A Cuneo, AKA-Patricia Taylor), was on the Coatesville City Council. Ms. Ray, PA State Rep. Tim Hennessey’s Legislative Assistant Linda Lavender and Tim Hennessey’s former Office Manager Lisa Johnson are allegedly friends of the homeowner.

I know about this fire because it's across the street and I’m looking at the house as I write this. The house has been quiet since the fire, it’s occupied again and the rooms are again most likely rented out to multiple renters.

Working House Fire On 13th Ave In The City
By Fire Chief Frank Dowlin
May 3, 2008
Saturday morning May 3rd, 2008 Modena Fire Company was dispatched at 1001 hours for an engine and ambulance to assist Coatesville Fire Department at 89 South 13th Ave. in Coatesville City for a reported house fire.

Chief Dowlin was first on scene living only a block away at 1003 hours reporting a 2 ½ story single family dwelling with smoke showing from the roof area. After talking to residents Chief Dowlin confirmed a working attic fire. Deputy Chief Paulukinas from Coatesville Fire Department arrived on scene at 1006 hours requesting a second alarm also reporting possible entrapment.

A second alarm realerted Modena now a full company as well as Thorndale and Westwood Fire Companies, and a tower from the Alert Fire Company and a Medic from the Brandywine Hospital.

Ladder 43 took position in the front yard of the residence laddering the roof area allowing fire fighters quick access to ventilation. Engine 41-2 laid a supply line from the corner of Sterling Street and 13th ave. and then deployed attack lines through the front door of the residence. Engine 37-2 arrived it crew assisted the Coatesville fire department with fire suppression and later overhaul.

The fire was placed under control rather quickly and most of the second alarm was returned. The fire is under investigation with the Chester County Fire Marshall's Office.

All units cleared the scene at 1225 Hours.

Units:  Engine 37-1 and 2

How's that ignoring all the stuff about Joe Biden & quickly stuffing him in to stop Bernie going for the DNC?

Just like I voted for Hillary, I'm going to vote for whatever Democrat the DNC decides to put up.

But while I did vote for Hillary I knew she was going to lose Pennsylvania. When nearly everyone expected a Hillary landslide I thought the election would be so close it would take days to decide. I wasn't surprised that Trump won. I didn't expect it at 11pm on election night.

"A new piece of evidence has emerged buttressing the credibility of Tara Reade’s claim that she told her mother about allegations of sexual harassment and assault related to her former boss, then-Sen. Joe Biden. Biden, through a spokesperson, has denied the allegations. Reade has claimed to various media outlets, including The Intercept, that she told her mother, a close friend, and her brother about both the harassment and, to varying degrees of detail, the assault at the time. Her brother, Collin Moulton, and her friend, who has asked to remain anonymous, both confirmed that they heard about the allegations from Reade at the time. Reade’s mother died in 2016, but both her brother and friend also confirmed Reade had told her mother, and that her mother, a longtime feminist and activist, urged her to go to the police.
In interviews with The Intercept, Reade also mentioned that her mother had made a phone call to “Larry King Live” on CNN, during which she made reference to her daughter’s experience on Capitol Hill. Reade told The Intercept that her mother called in asking for advice after Reade, then in her 20s, left Biden’s office. “I remember it being an anonymous call and her saying my daughter was sexually harassed and retaliated against and fired, where can she go for help? I was mortified,” Reade told me.
Reade couldn’t remember the date or the year of the phone call, and King didn’t include the names of callers on his show. I was unable to find the call, but mentioned it in an interview with Katie Halper, the podcast host who first aired Reade’s allegation. After the podcast aired, a listener managed to find the call and sent it to The Intercept.
"On August 11, 1993, King aired a program titled, “Washington: The Cruelest City on Earth?” Toward the end of the program, he introduces a caller dialing in from San Luis Obispo, California. Congressional records list August 1993 as Reade’s last month of employment with Biden’s Senate office, and, according to property records, Reade’s mother, Jeanette Altimus, was living in San Luis Obispo County. Here is the transcript of the beginning of the call:
KING: San Luis Obispo, California, hello.
CALLER: Yes, hello. I’m wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington? My daughter has just left there, after working for a prominent senator, and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him.
KING: In other words, she had a story to tell but, out of respect for the person she worked for, she didn’t tell it?
CALLER: That’s true.
King’s panel of guests offered no suggestions, and instead the conversation veered into a discussion of whether any of the men on set would leak damaging personal information about a rival to the press."

Epstein Party Guy Larry & Dementia Joe 2 Fingers. We’re so very, very, FUCKED! Make plans on coping with Trump until 2024. AND GOP extremist judges until 2100. OR, COVID-19 could kill off the Fox News watching/GOP base to Give Dems a chance.

Throughout the past year, as Epstein’s second criminal trial dragged this shameful past back into public view, Summers has been conspicuously close-mouthed about what he knew and when he knew it. There are, after all, few flattering things to be said about one’s connection to an international sex criminal. Epstein’s first arrest was in 2006. His prosecution was amply covered by Florida newspapers and national outlets including The New York Times. One of his defense attorneys was Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz, whom Summers knew well. And shortly after Summers resigned as Harvard’s president (he remained on the economics faculty), the school’s own newspaper reported that the university had decided against returning Epstein’s gift. Conversations were underway about what to do about the Epstein problem.
All of which raises two distinct possibilities: Either Summers was ignorant of Epstein’s wrongdoing, itself an act of staggering incompetence, or he knew what had transpired and simply didn’t care. Is Larry Summers a fool or an enabler?
This prompted immediate outrage from the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, where Summers is loathed for, well, just about everything he has ever said or done. But Summers isn’t just a bad choice for a Democratic nominee trying to win over reluctant progressives. There are plenty of neoliberal economists out there. But none of them are nearly as toxic as Summers. He is someone you only turn to if you don’t give an iota about your own reputation.
Over the past three decades, Summers has amassed a policy record of almost unrivaled social ruin.

My opinion is by this Summer armed protests by anti-government right wing extremists & some just ordinary people with guns will become shootouts, mostly with police, as more people die & more people are out of work.
We are at the begining of a second Great Depression, this time with mass death. The Great Depression hit Germany hardest & they got Hitler. The just begining Second Great Depression will hit the United States hardest.

DC Beltway bubble, SPLC white supremacist bubble, CCCD bubble, CCDC bubble, CCRC bubble, ADL bubble, Fox News bubble, WAP bubble, Corporate news bubble and so on are all imaginary views.

I try to put politics, corruption, white supremacy, anti-government groups, violent terrorists & local politics, underground economies and drug trafficking and see it all at one time. Sometimes when I just drive or walk in Coatesville, PA. It's really the only way to not be blindsided. And you need an extremely good memory.

I learned "street smarts" while walking day & night in Philly from 1966 into 1980s with a Nikon F, one of the most sought after & expensive cameras of the time always hanging at my side. You have to see everything just to stay alive. Journalists need to see everything too.

You can’t see one view and come up with what’s really happening.

But this article comes close to real:

"On Wednesday in Lansing, Michigan, a protest put together by two Republican-connected not-for-profits was explicitly devised to cause gridlock in the city, and for a time blocked the entrance to a local hospital.
It was organized by the Michigan Conservative Coalition, which Michigan state corporate filings show has also operated under the name of Michigan Trump Republicans. It was also heavily promoted by the Michigan Freedom Fund, a group linked to the Trump cabinet member Betsy DeVos.
But the protest also attracted far-right protest groups who have been present at pro-Trump and gun rights rallies in Michigan throughout the Trump presidency.
Placards identified the Michigan Proud Boys as participants in the vehicle convoy. Near the state house, local radio interviewed a man who identified himself as “Phil Odinson”.
In fact the man is Phil Robinson, the prime mover in a group called the Michigan Liberty Militia, whose Facebook page features pictures of firearms, warnings of civil war, celebrations of Norse paganism and memes ultimately sourced from white nationalist groups like Patriot Front.
The pattern of rightwing not-for-profits promoting public protests while still more radical groups use lockdown resistance as a platform for extreme rightwing causes looks set to continue in events advertised in other states over coming days.
In Idaho on Friday, protesters plan to gather at the capitol building in Boise to protest anti-virus restrictions put in place by the Republican governor, Brad Little.
The protest has been heavily promoted by the Idaho Freedom Foundation (IFF), which counts among its donors “dark money” funds linked to the Koch brothers such as Donors Capital Fund, and Castle Rock, a foundation seeded with part of the fortune of Adolph Coors, the rightwing beer magnate.
The event is also being promoted on a website dedicated to attacking Little for his response to Covid-19. That website was set up by the Idaho businessman, pastor and one-time Republican state senate candidate, Diego Rodriguez.
Rodriguez launched the website at an Easter service held in defiance of the governor’s orders on Easter Sunday, which was also addressed by Ammon Bundy, the leader of the militia occupation of the Malheur national wildlife refuge in 2016 that become a rallying point for the anti-government right in the US.
Bundy has been holding similar gatherings for weeks in Emmett, Idaho, where he now lives. On Sunday, he repeated his opposition to the Idaho orders, writing on Facebook: “We all have a duty to defend what is right and to make sure, that what God has given, man does not take away. Especially that great gift of agency, YES freedom!”
Ada county, Idaho, where the capital, Boise, is located, has so far suffered 541 cases of Covid-19 and nine deaths, in a state which has a far worse outbreak than neighboring Oregon, which is 2.4 times more populous.
Nevertheless, the ad for the rally on Rodriguez’s website advises, “We feel that wearing face masks and gloves is counterproductive to the movement, and should be avoided.”
In Washington state, meanwhile, which for now has brought one of the worst outbreaks in the country under a measure of control, a Republican state committeeman, Tyler Miller, has organized a protest at the state capitol on Saturday.
Miller, who is active in the Kitsap county Republican party, was involved in passing a resolution in January in support of representative Matt Shea, who was excluded from the state house’s GOP caucus after a report commissioned by house found that he had participated in domestic terrorism.
Hundreds of Facebook users have indicated that they will be attending his “Hazardous Liberty” rally, and a parallel event in Richland, Washington.
Included in that number are members of the 3% of Washington, a group which has held a series of open-carry rallies in Seattle, featuring speeches from the far-right protest leader, Joey Gibson.
As for Shea, he is speaking on Saturday at an online “Saving America” conference which will discuss an alleged erosion of rights “that’s been ramped up in unprecedented ways during this Covid-19 crisis”.
He is scheduled to appear alongside the likes of close ally Pastor Ken Peters, who has been holding monthly services outside Spokane’s planned parenthood clinic; the actor, Maga personality and congressional candidate Mindy Robinson; and the New Zealand-based anti-communist speaker and author Trevor Loudon.
Other similar events have been advertised for Saturday by an anti-vaccination activist in Oregon, and for Friday by a Boston group with alt-right connections."

The U.S. military has a problem it doesn’t want to acknowledge: Despite increased efforts to bar them from enlisting, white nationalists have continued to infiltrate all branches of the U.S. military. According to a recent poll conducted by Militarytimes.com, 36% of the 1,630 active-duty troops it surveyed reported they had personally witnessed examples of “white nationalism or ideological-driven racism within the ranks in recent months.” If this same percentage is extrapolated to the whole population of active-duty troops (about 1.3 million in December 2019), that would mean nearly half a million troops have witnessed examples of white nationalism in the ranks in recent months.

An Integrated Brain-Machine Interface Platform With Thousands of Channels.
Musk E1Neuralink#1
Abstract
Brain-machine interfaces hold promise for the restoration of sensory and motor function and the treatment of neurological disorders, but clinical brain-machine interfaces have not yet been widely adopted, in part, because modest channel counts have limited their potential. In this white paper, we describe Neuralink's first steps toward a scalable high-bandwidth brain-machine interface system. We have built arrays of small and flexible electrode "threads," with as many as 3072 electrodes per array distributed across 96 threads. We have also built a neurosurgical robot capable of inserting six threads (192 electrodes) per minute. Each thread can be individually inserted into the brain with micron precision for avoidance of surface vasculature and targeting specific brain regions. The electrode array is packaged into a small implantable device that contains custom chips for low-power on-board amplification and digitization: The package for 3072 channels occupies less than 23×18.5×2 mm3. A single USB-C cable provides full-bandwidth data streaming from the device, recording from all channels simultaneously. This system has achieved a spiking yield of up to 70% in chronically implanted electrodes. Neuralink's approach to brain-machine interface has unprecedented packaging density and scalability in a clinically relevant package.

President Donald Trump’s daily coronavirus briefing at the White House, CNN’s Jim Acosta told viewers Monday, produced “the biggest meltdown I have ever seen from a president of the United States.”

Acosta, CNN’s chief White House correspondent, said during a live report with CNN’s Erin Burnett, that “I don’t think a reasonable person could watch what we just saw over the last hour and conclude that the president is in control. It sounds like he is out of control.”

The briefing, in which Trump deflected criticisms of his administration’s response to the spread of Covid-19, included several heated exchanges, and plenty of real-time reaction on Twitter, where the hashtag #PressBriefing was the top political trending topic, followed by #TrumpMeltdown, and even #OMG Trump.
CNN broke away from the briefing to go directly to a correspondent who began fact-checking the president’s claims, in particular his claim that as president, he has “total” authority. The president has frequently deferred to governors, saying response to the spread of the coronavirus is a state matter.

Viewers took to social media to buzz about the briefing, and to call out the on-screen banner writers at CNN. So many people began their tweets with the words “the CNN” that those words also began trending early Monday evening.

At one point during the briefing, Trump played a video many described as a campaign-style message praising the president for his handling of the crisis. CBS News correspondent Paula Reid questioned the president, saying “your video has a complete gap. What did your administration do in February with the time that your travel ban bought you?

The president said “a lot” and then disparaged the highly regarded Reid, saying “you know you’re a fake.”

CNN’s Jim Acosta: ‘Biggest Meltdown I Have Ever Seen From A President’

Sunday, April 12, 2020

The RNC and this time the Trump Campaign will again use armed former police & military to enforce their false narrative of election fraud in November 2020 elections.

"On Election Day in November, some polling places could be patrolled by off-duty police officers and veterans, according to a plan hatched by Republican operatives.
The idea is a reprisal of once-illegal Election Day “ballot security” intimidation tactics, intended to challenge voter registration and remove voters from the rolls. At a strategy session in February attended by conservative donors and activists, several people expressed a specific need for Republican poll watchers in “inner city” and predominantly Native American precincts, according to audio recordings of the event obtained by The Intercept and Documented.
'You get some [Navy] Seals in those polls and they’re going to say, ‘No, no, this is what it says. This is how we’re going to play this show,’” said Catherine Engelbrecht, founder of True the Vote, a group that lobbies for voting restrictions and organizes volunteers to go into precincts and aggressively challenge voters who they believe are improperly registered. “That’s what we need. We need people who are unafraid to call it like they see it.”

Black voters here in Coatesville, PA will not be intimidated by our PD.

I can’t say that the rest of Chester County local PD will not interfere on Election Day. I’m particularly concerned with West Goshen PD. However the Democratic Party, not the Chester County Republican Committee now has control over County Government, which includes the District Attorney’s office & Chester County Detectives.

Most of Pennsylvania’s Counties are Republican Party controlled. To anticipate the incidence of armed patrols in minority area on Election Day I would look at those PA Counties where the DA is not a Democrat.

The law preventing armed police at polling places was not renewed in 2018. There is no such law for the 2020 elections:

Using former soldiers and law enforcement as poll watchers was banned in 1981 by a judicial consent decree imposed on the Republican Party, but that ban was lifted in 2018 when a New Jersey judge declined to renew it. The ban came explicitly in response to an effort by the Republican National Committee to intimidate voters in African American communities by creating a so-called Ballot Security Task Force, threatening arrest and a $1,000 fine for improper voting...
“This is an absolute front-line fight. Around every corner, you find a new way to cheat this process,” said Engelbrecht. Democrats, she warned, would use “mob rule” to siege elections with fraudulent votes. “The swarming tactics of a radicalized socialist mindset is a dangerous thing to behold.”
“Of interest here, we have a new initiative called ‘Continue to Serve,’ which is about recruiting veterans and first responders to work inside the polls,” she said, before suggesting that former Navy Seals should be tapped to watch the polls. “You want to talk about people who understand and respect law and order and chain of command...
The original consent decree came as a result of the Ballot Security Task Force, a plan used by the RNC to sway the 1981 New Jersey gubernatorial election, which Republican Tom Kean clinched by a mere 1,797 votes.
That year, RNC officials sent nonforwardable letters to voters in heavily African American neighborhoods. The party then recruited off-duty police officers, many of whom reportedly carried holstered guns, to patrol nonwhite precincts with lists of people whose names appeared on the 45,000 bounced letters, claiming that the list was enough evidence to show they were illegally voting.
The Ballot Security Task Force placed posters nearing polling stations that read: “Warning: This Area Is Being Patrolled by the National Ballot Security Task Force: It Is a Crime to Falsify a Ballot or to Violate Election Laws,” along with an offer for a $1,000 reward for any “information leading to arrest and conviction of persons violating New Jersey election law.” There was no effort to make clear that the deployed officers were working for the GOP or any disclosure that RNC had paid for the posters.
The Democratic National Committee filed a lawsuit over the tactic, alleging that the task force harassed poll workers, refused prospective voters from entering polling places, ripped down Democratic posters, and forcibly restrained volunteers from helping voters cast their ballots.
The resulting court order, which forced the RNC nationwide and the Republican Party of New Jersey to obtain advanced permission for certain poll watching and “ballot security” initiatives, had been in place for more than three decades. That changed finally in 2018, when District Judge John Michael Vazquez ruled that the order would not be renewed, lifting any future restrictions on the party. In a brief filing, Vazquez noted that he was ending the consent decree in part because the DNC had failed to show the RNC in violation of its terms...
Later in the meeting, Engelbrecht called repeatedly for more collaboration among conservative groups, suggesting that participants at the meeting work with groups like the Republican National Lawyers Association to formulate plans to challenge registrations and disqualify voters.
“We have to have someone to be able to pass the baton off to. Because of the New Jersey consent decree, we are rusty,” said Engelbrecht.
The Trump campaign, notably, has voiced support for the end of the RNC consent decree. Last November, at the Republican National Lawyers Association conference, Justin Clark, a strategist and attorney for the Trump campaign, gave remarks on the importance of winning states like Wisconsin. During his speech, he explained “what is going to be different about Election Day operations in 2020 versus 2016.”
“There are a lot of huge differences,” said Clark. “First and foremost, the consent decree is gone, OK?” The end of the consent decree, he explained, would mean increased ballot security work, but also expanded coordination between various GOP committees and the Trump campaign, which he, called a “huge, huge, huge, huge, deal.”
“Police violence has historically been used as tool for voter intimidation in America, especially in communities of color,” said Sylvia Albert, director of voting and elections at Common Cause. “This is why many states have laws stating police cannot be at polls,” Albert added. “Encouraging law enforcement to monitor polls is another old tactic that partisan operatives are trying to use to stop Americans from exercising their constitutional right to vote.”
“If law enforcement joins in with groups like True the Vote, they will be making it very clear that they have no interest in serving as a trusted resource to the community,” said Rashad Robinson, president of Color of Change.
“They haven’t been able to prove voter fraud, so they’re including law enforcement and military folks in search of a problem that doesn’t exist,” added Robinson. “We actually don’t have a problem with voter fraud, we have a problem with voter suppression, and in a country with incredibly low rates of voter participation, we want to create another barrier to voting?”
True the Vote has since released appeals on its website, along with a sign-up form, to recruit police officers and former military to serve as poll watchers.

“My brothers spilled their blood on the battlefield so people can vote their beliefs,” said Ed “Iron” Hiner, a retired Navy Seal and volunteer with True the Vote, in a recorded message promoting the effort. Hiner, who has been outspoken in the press in support of Eddie Gallager, the Navy Seal accused of murdering a prisoner and attempted murder of civilians in Iraq, described the poll watching program as a continuation of service for members of the military.

“Once you get out and retire like I did, there’s a hole, there’s something, you’re used to having a mission,” said Hiner, speaking next to Engelbrecht in the video.
True the Vote grew out of King Street Patriots, a local tea party chapter in Houston, Texas that was involved with intimidating voters at multiple polling locations in predominately nonwhite neighborhoods during the 2010 election. Volunteers with the group were reportedly seen “hovering over” voters, blocking lines, and engaging in confrontations with election workers. In 2012, True the Vote deployed poll watchers in Wisconsin who attempted to prevent students from voting.
Blackwell, Engelbrecht, and True the Vote did not respond to a request for comment. The group, organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit claims that it is nonpartisan and simply devoted to upholding “election integrity.” The organization, however, maintains extensive ties to the Republican establishment.

Brent Mudd, one board member, previously served as the treasurer for the Super PAC supporting Newt Gingrich’s 2012 presidential campaign. Greg Phillips, another True the Vote board member, worked at the same Gingrich Super PAC and was previously an official with the Alabama and Mississippi state Republican parties.
True the Vote is also supported financially by a number of foundations run by prominent conservative donors. Eric M. Javits and Lawrence Post, two frequent donors to Donald Trump and congressional Republicans, are among the disclosed donors to True the Vote. Richard Sackler, a member of the billionaire family that founded Purdue Pharma, the company that invented Oxycontin and marketed the highly addictive opioid to millions, also donated to True the Vote, tax records show...
The GOP has strained to present actual evidence for vote-by-mail fraud. One of the rare examples of a campaign going door to door to collect and manipulate ballots was North Carolina Republican Mark Harris, whose victory in 2018 was invalidated over widespread evidence that his consultants illegally collected and forged ballots from voters.

There is no evidence of widespread voting fraud in America. Studies have revealed isolated cases of a few voters voting improperly for both major parties, but no determined effort to break the rules has been discovered.
