Welcome to the Coatesville Dems Blog

Public Corruption in Chester County, PA

I believe an unlikely mix of alleged drug trafficking related politicos and alleged white nationalist related politicos united to elect the infamous “Bloc of Four” in the abysmal voter turnout election of 2005. During their four year term the drug business was good again and white nationalists used Coatesville as an example on white supremacist websites like “Stormfront”. Strong community organization and support from law enforcement, in particular Chester County District Attorney Joseph W. Carroll has begun to turn our community around. The Chester County drug trafficking that I believe centers on Coatesville continues and I believe we still have public officials in place that profit from the drug sales. But the people here are amazing and continue to work against the odds to make Coatesville a good place to live.

Milo’s Alt-Pedophilia Conservative movement.

Conservatives have strayed pretty far from the Evangelical Christian Republicans of about a year ago to the pussy grabbing Conservative Republicans of today. It happened so fast that maybe “Christian Republican” was aways a sham.

By the way, how does Donald Trump feel about grabbing 13 year old’s vaginas?

Maybe we should ask Putin.
Milo’s Alt-Pedophilia Conservative movement:
"The story of Milo Yiannopoulos’s fall from conservative grace ended when a conservative blog posted video footage of him making comments that seemed to rationalize pedophilia. But it started when a 16-year-old high school student in Canada decided Yiannopoulos was embraced much too closely by mainstream conservatives.

The teen was moved to dig up footage on Yiannopoulos when she heard that he’d been invited to speak at the highest profile gathering of conservatives each year in America, the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). She defines herself as “very socially liberal,” but leans right on economics and foreign policy. Yiannopoulos, who has built his personal brand on anti-Muslim, anti-feminism, and general bigotry, exemplifies the place where she doesn’t believe the conservative movement should go."

III%ers Militia member sentenced for gun violation threatened to shoot Middlesex Township, Pa Police officer

III%ers Militia member sentenced for gun violation threatened to shoot Middlesex Township, Pa  Police officer
According to the Middlesex Township Police Department, the incident occurred like this:
In July, as police were arresting his son, Colin Filaroski, on a drug-possession charge, Michael Filaroski threatened to shoot the police, telling them he was a member of the "Three Percent Militia" -- a self-described, far-right patriot movement that opposes government intervention, except as stated in the U.S. Constitution.
Filaroski threatened to shoot everyone involved in his son's case and had a 9-mm handgun stuck in his waist, which a felony conviction out of New Hampshire prohibits him from possessing.
A jury in December convicted him of the firearms charge, but its members were deadlocked on a charge of terroristic threats, which the prosecution ended up dismissing.
Accused of threatening to shoot police, man sentenced for illegal gun

Anti-Communist pro fascist crusaders, Two Gun Bessie Burchett & Bear gun Betsy DeVos

This flyer is a solicitation for Bessie Burchett's book Education for Destruction. Burchett was a Philadelphia public schoolteacher who argued that education ought to be limited to ""a select few white Protestant Americans of high IQ."" She was pro-Nazi, anti-Catholic and Antisemitic. She resigned from West Philadelphia High School in 1941 minutes before she was about to be fired for advocating race hatred and being a Nazi sympathizer. Known as ""Two Gun"" Bessie for her habit of wearing her guns in class. She became a sought after figure as a speaker for pro-fascist and other reactionary organizations through the early Second World War years.

From this perspective, Lend-Lease was nothing short of “treachery”, leaving the United States “as helpless as Lenin could have wished” (29). To quote Bessie Burchett, “The men who might defend their homes against communists are being drafted, some are being sent out of the country while locust hordes of aliens are still coming in to take their jobs . . . . Is it not significant that the men who have rushed England into this suicidal war are predominantly not of Anglo-Saxon stock? And that in our own Administration, the men who are pushing us relentlessly towards the same bottomless abyss are not of English or traditional American blood?” (30). This foreshadowed the ruin or extermination of ”the white race, white Christian civilization” (33). The “Draft Bill” was a “Dictator Bill” (31).  Roosevelt was plotting to abdicate American sovereignty to British imperial and financial suzerainty (32). Russian entry into the war in June 1941 made matters starker:  “If we had only kept clear of England’s war, we should now be clear of England’s evil ally” (33). All this was the consequence of ignoring “the expert advice of our great Colonel Lindbergh” (34)...

During 1940 and 1941, the old activists of the Anti-Communism Society and the Christian Front focused their rhetoric on the isolationist cause (75). In the Summer of 1940, Thomas Blisard and the C.D.C.R. led a delegation to Washington to protest changes in the Neutrality Act (76). In September 1941, some three hundred attended a “Mothers’ meeting” organized by Joseph Gallagher and Bessie Burchett at the Bethe Bellevue Stratford to protest Lend-Lease, a law “giving our armaments, clothes, food, money and our men to the British; and for what?” Britain herself was a parasite, unwilling to spare its own riches: “Why don’t they give up more of their own wealth? But no, they want ours, and all for nothing”. Bessie Burchett asserted that “Roosevelt is nothing but a Charlie McCarthy because he is nothing but a stooge, even a stooge would know he is used as a stooge” (77).

How Our Public Schools Became a"Communist Threat"
 by Paul Buchheit
Heartland Institute President Joseph Bast called the public school system a "socialist regime." Michelle Rhee cautions us against commending students for their 'participation' in sports and other activities.
Privatizers believe that any form of working together as a community is anti-American. To them, individual achievement is all that matters. They're now applying their winner-take-all profit motive to our children.
We're Sliding Backwards, Towards "Separate and Unequal"
In 1954, the Supreme Court decision in Brown vs. the Board of Education seemed to place our country on the right track. Chief Justice Earl Warren said that education "is a right which must be made available to all on equal terms." Thurgood Marshall insisted on "the right of every American to an equal start in life."
But then we got derailed. We've become a nation of inequality, worse than ever before, worse than during the racist "separate but equal" policy of Plessy vs. Ferguson in 1896. The Civil Rights Project at UCLA shows that "segregated schools are systematically linked to unequal educational opportunities." The Economic Policy Institute tells us that "African American students are more isolated than they were 40 years ago."
The privatizers clamor for vouchers and charters to improve education, but such methods generally don't serve those who need it most. According to a Center on Education Policy report, private schools serve 12 percent of the nation's elementary and secondary students, but only one percent of disabled students. Forty-three percent of public school students are from minority families, compared to 24% of private school students.
Meanwhile, as teachers continue to get blamed, the Census Bureau tells us that an incredible 38 percent of black children live in poverty.
The Underprivileged Have Been Cheated Out Of Taxes
A Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) report revealed that total K-12 education cuts for fiscal 2012 were about $12.7 billion.
Almost 90 percent of K-12 funding comes from state and local taxes. But in 2011 and 2012, 155 of the largest U.S. corporations paid only about half of their required state taxes. That comes to $14 billion per year in unpaid taxes, more than the K-12 cuts.
Untaxed and Unqualified Foundations Want To "Save Our Schools"
The "starve the beast" mentality allows the privatizers to claim that our "Soviet-style" schools don't work, and that a business approach must be used instead. Philanthropists like Bill Gates and Eli Broad and Michael Bloomberg and Rupert Murdoch and the Walton family, who have little educational experience among them, and who have little accountability to the public, are promoting "education reform" with lots of standardized testing.
But according to the National Research Council, "The tests that are typically used to measure performance in education fall short of providing a complete measure of desired educational outcomes in many ways." Diane Ravitch notes that the test-based Common Core standards were developed by a Gates-funded organization with almost no public input. Desperate states had to adopt the standards to get funding.
Bill Gates may be well-intentioned, but he's a tech guy, and his programming of children into educational objects is disturbing. One of his ideas is to videotape teachers and then analyze their performances. The means of choosing 'analysts' is unclear. Another Gates idea is the Galvanic Skin Response bracelet, which would be attached to a child to measure classroom engagement, and ultimately gauge teacher performance. It all sounds like a drug company's test lab.
As noted by Ravitch and others, philanthropic organizations tend to contribute to "like-minded entities," which are likely to exclude representatives of the neediest community organizations. They are also tax-exempt. And when educational experiments go wrong, they can just leave their mess behind and move on to their next project.
 Getting Past Our "Exceptionalism"
If we're willing to look beyond our borders for help, we will see the short-sightedness of our educational "reforms." Finland's schools were considered mediocre 30 years ago, but they've achieved a remarkable turnaround by essentially challenging their teachers before they're entrusted with the welfare of the children. Most Finnish teachers are unionized, and they undergo rigorous masters-level training to ensure proficiency in the teaching profession, which is held in the same high esteem as law and medicine. In keeping with this respect for learning, government funding is applied equally to all schools, classes in the arts are available to all students, and tuition is free.
As a result, Finnish students, who are not subjected to standardized testing, finish at or near the top of international comparisons for reading, math, and science.
It's not just Finland with such impressive results. Research at the National Center on Education and the Economy has confirmed that educational systems in Japan, Shanghai, and Ontario, Canada have prospered with an emphasis on the preparation of teachers for the essential task of instructing their young people.
A Strong Community Leads To Individual Success
George Lakoff summarizes: "The Public provides freedom...Individualism begins after the roads are built, after individualists have had an education, after medical research has cured their diseases..."
Public education is vital to the promise of equal opportunity for all. But it will only succeed if we work together as a community, and stop listening to the voices of profit and inexperience.

We have a White Nationalist national government. We have a white nationalist Chester County Republican Committee

The press, if you can call Slate the press, is beginning to see what I had seen several years ago.

I encountered white nationalist KKK/skinheads when I was a planning commission member of Lower Frederick Township in Montgomery County. Other planning commission members told me not to get involved, that they're dangerous. The KKK consisted of a few old men with political ties. The skinheads were racist thugs selling drugs and robbing banks. They came together under "lighted" crosses along the Perkiomen Creek. The KKK/skinheads along with anti-government “property rights” extremists tried to stop the Perkiomen Trail. The Perkiomen Trail is now a real estate attraction and several businesses cater to trail walkers and riders.

In Coatesville I recognized the same kind of people at Coatesville City Council meetings. A combination of drug dealers and anti-government “property rights” extremists. They were led by Pat Sellers, a long time John Birch Society member and anti-government white nationalist who appeared to believe blacks are genetically inferior.

Pat Sellers picked the "Bloc of Four" candidates and he ran their campaign. We got a city council friendly to drug dealers, controlled by slumlords, an unscrupulous white supremacist lawyer and con men devoted to becoming millionaires from their government positions. They didn't get what they wanted, the city burned down. I assume Pat Sellers was ecstatic over Coatesville burning down.

Back in 2006 I told the Chester County Democratic Committee to watch Pat Sellers, that he is a very dangerous man.  While in Coatesville I recognized that the CCRC and Republican Party's base voters were becoming more and more white nationalist.  That Chester County Democrats would be facing a more and more anti-government, ideologically racist Chester County Republican Committee.

I decided in February of 2016 that Hillary Clinton would not win Pennsylvania, no matter who the Republican candidate was. The former union Democratic base in Pennsylvania is now a Republican white nationalist base. We live in a state dominated by white nationalist voters frightened that their way of life is threatened.

ACT for America, training white supremacist police. The Thin Blue Line Project

"White Supremacists Are Taking Over Police Departments Across America":

Is Chester County PA Sheriff Bunny Welsh a “silent hit” on the FBI “Known & Suspected Terrorist (KST) list?

Chester County Sheriff Carolyn "Bunny" Welsh is a Board of Directors member of the Constitutional Sheriffs & Peace Officers Association. Could she be marked on the "Known or Suspected Terrorist (KST) as a "Silent hit?"

""Johnson singled out the Oath Keepers and the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association for their anti-government attitudes and efforts to recruit active as well as retired law enforcement officers. “That’s the biggest issue and it’s greater now than it’s ever been, in my opinion.” Johnson added that Homeland Security has given up tracking right-wing domestic extremists. “It’s only the FBI now,” he said, adding that local police departments don’t seem to be doing anything to address the problem. “There’s not even any training now to make state and local police aware of these groups and how they could infiltrate their ranks.”"

The Thin Blue Line Project is basically training for white supremacist police.

...In his view, everyone who isn’t Christian poses a threat—especially Muslims.

"The seminar was titled "Understanding the Threat: Investigating and Understanding the Jihadi Threat to United States Law Enforcement," according to the notice, which promised that attendees "will walk away with the knowledge of a real time security threat" to the rule of law in the U.S. and will learn "ideas and techniques on how to combat this threat."

“The Thin Blue Line Project is taking a page from the playbook of oft-used tactics by extremists on the radical right, most notably by white supremacists and anti-abortion extremists, by publishing names and addresses of adversaries,” says Heidi Beirich, the director of SPLC’s Intelligence Project."

“If you want to boil it down to what the greatest problem is…I believe it’s us,” Guandolo said back in September 2014, speaking with an earnest lilt. By this, he was referring to his followers — the white, Christian majority — who Guandolo believes need to reinvent society to target those who don’t fit. In his view, everyone who isn’t Christian poses a threat—especially Muslims.
Guandolo now keeps his talks under wraps, but they are legion across the country. They take place in police union halls, conference centers, colleges, and church basements. They are sponsored by private funders, unions, and local police departments where he offers trainings on “the Islamic threat.” They tend to occur in places where local officials appear more receptive to his message — namely ColoradoOhioTennesseeTexas, and Virginia, the latter being where his company is based. Law enforcement in Arizona paid Guandolo $11,000, not including the cost of catering and a hefty supply of his books, to give a lecture eligible for continuing education credits.
"As Guandolo has written, 'understand that LOCAL POLICE are the tip of the spear, and this problem will be solved by citizens at the LOCAL level.'
In other words, the point of the Thin Blue Line Project is to bring hateful rhetoric to state and local governments, who also have increasing power to survey and prosecute individuals."
Yet Guandolo offers more than just lectures. At these talks and on his website, Guandolo promotes a tool of his own creation, designed to support local law enforcement in their quest to conquer what he calls “homegrown terrorism.” The Thin Blue Line Project is a website intended to assist federal and local law enforcement with finding and targeting radicalized Muslims. It has no official government affiliation, but according to a press release, the website is being used by members of the NYPD, the FBI, Homeland Security, ICE, and Border Patrol. The Thin Blue Line Project offers training videos, tips on catching terrorists, a live stream of news, a message board, and, most importantly, a national map that geolocates Muslim targets. The locations are benign: Muslim student associations; mosques; offices of the Council On American-Islamic Relations. But, in Guandolo’s words, it’s a way to “locate these jihadis...
Guandolo used to represent an extreme branch of law enforcement—one that sat far enough from the mainstream power structure to spread its ideology. But now, under the Trump administration, Guandolo represents the new anti-Islamic guard, along with Flynn, who has spoken at several local ACT conferences about the supposed dangers of Islam. And, like Guandolo, Flynn insists that Islam isn’t a “real” religion and therefore isn’t protected under the First Amendment.
On that day in the fall of 2014 at Colorado Christian University, Guandolo laughed about being called an Islamaphobe. Yet Guandolo and Flynn’s teachings, ideas that are enforced by ACT, are becoming entrenched in Washington’s power structure—namely, the notion that all of Islam, not just ISIS or Al Queda or other so-called radical movements, wants to threaten the American way of life. That Islam is a violent religion, which makes every Muslim susceptible to radicalization. That every Muslim is a potential danger. In other words, that the enemy is next door.

If Guandolo’s concern is about “Sharia Creep,” then his outsized and undue influence on the Trump administration is another kind of creep altogether.

Exclusive: Trump to focus counter-extremism program solely on Islam - sources

Thu Feb 2, 2017 | 10:51 AM EST

By Julia Edwards Ainsley, Dustin Volz and Kristina Cooke WASHINGTON/SAN FRANCISCO

The Trump administration wants to revamp and rename a U.S. government program designed to counter all violent ideologies so that it focuses solely on Islamist extremism, five people briefed on the matter told Reuters.

The program, "Countering Violent Extremism," or CVE, would be changed to "Countering Islamic Extremism" or "Countering Radical Islamic Extremism," the sources said, and would no longer target groups such as white supremacists who have also carried out bombings and shootings in the United States.
